Fabinho is a great buy. They needed another midfielder and he is a clear improvement on their current Defensive Midfield options. If they get in Fekir and the Roma Goalkeeper they won't have any clear weaknesses within their team and will have a lot more firepower going forwards from midfield.

We might as well buy Jorginho. I don't really want the club to sign anyone who's X player-lite especially not Henderson.

Liverpool strengthening already. They got to a CL final with glaring weaknesses in their squad, they could really push on and challenge for the title this year.

Anyone seen the nonsense about Raheem Sterling’s tattoo?

Media are calling him to not be picked for England, have it removed etc. He’s already explained that it’s a personal tattoo and a deeper meaning as his dad was killed by a gun when Sterling was 2. 

Honestly, people in Britain are so stupid. What’s the matter with them.

Seems odd to me, why would you want a picture of a gun if your father was killed by one? To each their own though, but I can see why people are criticising him, he's a role model to kids and it could be seen by them as something "cool".

I don't like this insistence of footballers being role models. 

A young successful musician at Sterlings age could get the exact same tattoo and no one would comment or say they're a poor role model. 

We put footballers on this weird pedestal that we don't seem to expect of any other profession in this country. 

If the kids are idolising the wrong things/people then it's up to parents/guardians/careers to set them right. Not a footballers responsibility how children grow up.

True, but generally kids look up to and idolise the stars of their football team more than most other professions, and it certainly won't help things. He's free to do whatever he wants, if he wants a skull and cross bones tattooed on his face, or "f**k the police" across his chest, it's up to him, but they should think about the consequences of their actions, considering their position.

In a society where you can kill innocent people for fun on a computer game, there is faux outrage at the mere picture of a gun. Madness.

In reality, when has a footballers actions ever been proven to have negatively influenced any young person? 

Did Stan collymore's fans start attacking women? 

Did joe Coles fans start smoking? 

There is no proof that someone who knows right from wrong would do something stupid just because a footballer has done it. 

I think it's just media bullsh*t to make a story out of nothing. What are they actually trying to imply? That a kid will ultimately end up commiting a gun crime because sterling has a picture of one on his leg?
