Barkley can't play to the new year anyway so Chelsea talk him into going along with the £35m deal and pullout at last minute. We offer him an extra 30k a month and sign him in Jan for £8m.

    Lets hope Conte can weave his magic again... I think if we didnt sell Matic to Utd it shud have been lot better...

    The big difference is that we have let so many go. Change that, and the fans would feel a bit better about things. Like you say, if we didn't sell Matic, the squad would look a lot healthier. 

    We are in this mess because the board has failed to replace what we have sold or loaned out.

    He isn't a cm and he's nowhere near good enough for where we want to be. Why are you so annoyed that a player who isn't good enough and that we don't need isn't joining us?

    Ladies and gentleman, we have 2 minutes left and we've signed nobody. Still, plenty of time to go though, no need to panic.

    If only we signed another striker, then this window, even with all the f**kups and rejections, would have been okay.

    We now have to pray that Morata is actually good enough to be our first choice and that he stays fit all season long.

    That's the biggest worry the way I see it.

    He was almost definitely being signed to play CM. Same way Ox was being signed to play RWB. Make of that what you will. And what gives you the impression I wanted Barkley here? I've been complaining about how we're going after average players. Sure you have the right person quoted?

    If we are struggling or want to sub players early to keep them fresh, we have nobody on the bench that can come on and make a big difference. Look at the players City and United can bring off the bench. Both teams have already shown early on how important having a strong bench is. United have bought on players in all 3 of their opening games and scored goals, City have bought players off the bench to win to by getting late goals. We don't have that.

    2 players for every position pretty much. it might not have mega depth, but our squad is plenty enough to last up until january where we have the option to strengthen further. people need to stop being pessimistic and thinking of the worst outcomes. yes players may get injured, but so may rival players too. it's pointless to talk about it unless it happens. no player is immune from injury or suspension.
