It is wild fans can’t see the manager is culpable. He is 21 FFS! But fans have no patience. I reckon a change of environment will be ideal for him, and just might change his fortune. You just have to look at Kukulevski at Spurs; bought as an interesting prospect under Sarri at Juve who couldn’t get a tune out of him, was sold a year later to Spurs and is now one of the most productive wingers in the league. Same with Sessegnon who was bought at 18 and looked lost under Pochettino, he is now flourishing under Conte. All it’s taken is for a manager to simplify the game, and get them into the right area on the pitch.

The frustrating thing for me is when he got that run last autumn he was literally our best attacker and by quite a margin. Rumour has it 20(Twenty!!) clubs have shown strong interest which i'd wager is more than the other attacking players (left or open to leaving) combined.

It always has been, there's a reason coaches have to take numerous courses/badges to even get their foot through the door and even then many end up out of their depth once on the touchline. Remember the AVB scouting report (for Jose 1.0) that was leaked when he become manager here? Detailed didn't even begin to describe it and that was an era football was "simple". I'm from the era when coaching was an old bloke with a flat cap and a pipe. Football has become more scientific for want of a better word when you think even at the start of the PL era someone like Vinnie Jones could scythe an opponent in half and the treatment was someone sticking a wet sponge in your face 🤣

They buy them cheap, develop them, and sell them for and HUGE profit. Just look at what they did with Dembele, Pulisic, Sancho, Bellingham, Haarland, and many before them.

They took Januzaj and Reiner on loan from United and Real Madrid respectively, although it didn't really work out but they loaned Hakimi on a 2 year loan and developed him and that worked out well.

You're right about Hakimi, I do remember his time at Dortmund. However, I think that's more of an exception rather than the norms.

I think they would take him. Suits their style of play and who knows, they may believe they could sign him permanently later on in any case.

Batshuayi from us, Hakimi from Madrid, Reinier from Madrid, Januzaj from Utd, There's been plenty over the years that were simply loans. Realistically we should have sold Batshuayi after that Dortmund loan when his stock was high.

We as fans do know our stuff to a relative level but the required level to be a coach in the professional game is something else entirely. If us mere mortals managed any PL team and that includes City we would relegate them.

Not back in the day they didn't Ron Noades former Palace chairman bought Brentford took over as manager and got them promoted.
August 11, 20223 yr WAGNH reporting CHO was the only first team squad player absent from training on Wednesday. Injured again or on the move?
August 11, 20223 yr If Tuchel doesn't give him a chance this season, it's over, another talent that will most likely become a player we wish we had in a few years...

Football has changed but some do seem to like to over complicate it. You know when a player is bang average when people have to go to such lengths as to produce stats and charts & bollocks to try and make them out to be something they aren't. What we see with our eyes are all lies! When did anyone ever need a chart to tell you how good Zola, Hazard, Drogba, Silva etc are? Wish CHO all the best as he WAS one of the best CFC academy players I have ever seen, but TT is upgrading this CFC squad and CHO is one he clearly feels is not good enough to have us challenging for the PL & CL, along with Werner, Barkley, Pulicic, Ziyech, Lukaku and possibly one or two more.

August 22, 20223 yr Start him LW with Sterling on the other side next game with Broja up top. The best attacking performances under Tuchel (Norwich, Leicester, Juventus, Newcastle) all had CHO on the LW.
