Demarai Gray and Antony Gordon still plays in the Premier league so CHO certainly deserves a spot in a Prem team.

I would say both of those have had more match winning performances  recently than CHO.

Gray is 4 years older than CHO and Gordon hasn't had a match winning performance in his life.

Harsh, Gordon has scored the winning goals at least for Everton when they were in danger of relegation.

CHO has almost twice as many goals per 90, over twice as many assists per 90, over twice as many progressive carries per 90, three times as many progressive passes per 90, 12% better pass accuracy, almost SIX times as many shot creating actions per 90, 50% better take on success, I could go on...

Literally the only aspect of his game he's better at is defending than CHO.

I genuinely can't fathom that someone would try to convince themselves or others that Anthony Gordon is better than CHO. If Gordon can sign for Newcastle, CHO ABSOLUTELY has a right to still play in the Premier league and should be.

In truth though there isn't a lot of evidence to support that. He also struggled for game time in the Bundesliga

His first time outside of England and coming off a huge injury, not surprising he would struggle. Was a silly loan to begin with but I think he was the one who accepted.

He would get in at teams like Everton, Forrest, Palace (If Ayew can still play in the prem so can CHO).

Always the same excuses given to CHO, he had plenty of time to turn it around and he couldn't.

It was not a stupid loan. He got considerable game time with us the two seasons before and the Bundesliga has a history of making attacking players look good. His injury was more than two seasons ago. He should have been able to cut it at that level, but for whatever reasons he didn't...

As @True Blue23 it was not a silly loan at all. He went to a team who played a fluent style of football and played with wingers and on paper, would allow him to express his attacking game more. Bayer Leverkusen were also playing in the UCL as well as the league so it was perfectly set up for him. He started their quite brightly too and he was a regular in the team, when he initially joined. It is only until Alonso arrived that he froze him out, which sadly indicates he just thinks CHO was not up to it.

If he went another PL team as the ones mentioned, he would be used sparingly. The Bundesliga was defo on paper a better move. As you mentioned, he was coming of a huge injury which was actually a while back but yes, if people still think mentally and physically he has still not recovered, sending him on loan to another team in the renowned most physical league in the world and for teams competing in a relegation scrap, would not have helped his development at all.

Reports are CHO is off (expected that), only 1 year left on contract. Never really spoken about but not taking that offer from Dortmund a couple of years ago was a terrible mistake.

Lazio progressing with talks and have become Cals first choice, according to Fabrizio.

With Auba gone that just leaves Ziyech and Sarr to go, and nothing around possible moves.

I mean obviously the Achilles rupture hahaha

That was more than 4 years ago, he's still young I mean sure he lost some pace but I saw him playing well even afterwards, though I missed out how he did in Germany...

Methinks the achilles screwed him physically and mentally. Pre-injury, he could be a menace to defenders, running at them, taking them on. That stopped.

The main thing that screwed him was the money from the contract and ego. More focussed on posting a picture looking cool for the ladies on Instagram. Same goes for RLC. When you have that mentality, you get left behind easy and it's hard to come back from with all that money. Doesn't want to work hard enough to build on that contract knowing that he will still earn a decent amount for a lower level prem side. Getting over hyped being paid too much too young, trying to show off on social media is stunting the development of so many players.

Interesting he's reuniting with Sarri, not that it wasn't obvious anyway but that truly confirms the theories that Sarri was forcing him out and only played him under duress to be absolute rubbish.

Because he was poor. He ended up on benched for them. During the year at Leverkusen he was involved in 14 Bundesliga (600 minutes of football) games. Only managed to produce one assist and no goals in the proces.

I remember when Bayern wanted to drop £40-50m for him even though he'd just ruptured his achilles. Sad to see one of the brightest prospects from Cobham fall through this way.
