July 9, 20197 yr Let's hope we can get this sorted soon. We can't let this drag on or in January we've lost him and he'll be free to sign for Bayern Munich.

Hasnt he already confirmed he wants to sign? Pretty sure they're just going through the contract and discussing terms at this point.
July 9, 20197 yr TBF there are reports that he's more likely to sign than refuse, but until it's officially done and time keeps ticking then Bayern will keep sniffing around knowing he could be theirs as early as January. It's Bayern and the agents close to CHO that worry me the most.

July 9, 20197 yr I'd like him to stay and see if he can fulfill his potential, but that's all he is at the moment - potential. He has done nothing to warrant holding the club to ransom, expecting huge wages or certain shirt numbers or any of that, if true . If he wants to f**k off to Germany, then let him. Chelsea obviously doesn't mean that much to him.

In addition to this Sky report, BBC say contract talks "have not yet started", and various print media are claiming anything from" the deal is done," to "the deal is close", to "talks are ongoing".

Too many youngsters think they’re better than they are. Look at the England under 21s recently, got to deliver after the hype.

July 9, 20197 yr We know the club prefers to say as little as possible, but they recently replied to speculation about the stadium so why not a quick word on this? We can see a few grumblings of discontent brewing and it wont do CHO any favours letting it drag on and on.
July 9, 20197 yr I think he won't sign. Hazard told him he must stay humble if he wants to achive hights. I just don't see anything related to The word when it comes mentioning his name. he seems so far at the other end when compared to Ruben. he' s obviously sorrounded with money grabbing entourage where the word loyalty does not exist in their vocabulary. living the 80 's capitalism dream. greed is good. I just hope I am wrong, so f**king wrong.
July 9, 20197 yr Maybe we should of done CHO before RLC as far as contracts are concerned. His agent might try for something similar to the reported 120k that Ruben is getting. I guess we’ll find out if it was about playing time or his agent/brother asking for more money. The sooner this is resolved the better.
July 11, 20197 yr Tino Anjorin has just signed onto Bradley Hudson odoi's agency. Very interesting to see if he too ends up in a contract dispute, or ends up at bayern. Very highly rated 12 months ago, but the hype seems to have quitened down. Surprised he isnt on tour, there might be some circumstances im not aware of, but he had a good season last year.
July 11, 20197 yr Don’t have a great feeling about this tbh. Just can’t understand why he hasn’t signed yet. The kid grew up with us. Is being offered 100k at 18. Has our greatest ever player promising to build a team around him. He should be knocking at the club’s door to sign that contract. Football is a worrying place if that’s no longer enough for these boys.
July 11, 20197 yr It almost feels as if there is bad blood between Bradley Hudson-Odoi and Chelsea. Or there's a relationship with Bradley and Bayer. One way or another, something just feels wrong about this. The transfer request for Callum going to Bayern was one thing, but when Bradley brokered a deal to take Musiala from Chelsea's Academy to Bayern, and Anjorin joins his agency only 8 months after he signed his first pro contract with us. You're right @big blue, it will be interesting to see if he starts getting linked to Bayern. Edited July 11, 20197 yr by Boston Blue

As things stand Ruben is a far better player and deserves more money, if I had to choose one or the other there is no choice, RLC can change a game, powerful, technical, driving runs, can finish, holds up the ball, he has the lot it isn’t potential it can be seen, only potential about him is to go on and be one of the best in the league. As for CHO you can see his talent but he also did nothing in some of the games he started, he could be another Raheem Sterling or he could be a Charlie Musonda, he certainly hasn’t done enough to warrant holding us to his terms and I wouldn’t trust his brother as far as I could throw him. It could all be speculation but if it is as it seems this isn’t how to deal with your boyhood club who is offering you a brilliant opportunity in the best city in the best team in that city, most successful English club in modern history and in the best league. If he wants to f**k off to Germany so be it, how did Renton Sanchez get on there? Winning the German league with Bayern is like finding a fat bird with big tits it’s hardly much of an achievement..he is going to lose all that brilliant support he has had if he waits until January.

Howver, we have to accept there's always going to be players who are cold and take a mercenary approach to the game.
July 12, 20197 yr I'm getting to the stage where I'm losing patience. CHO's team are running the clock down and the club at some point will have to say OK we are selling because we are not prepared to let you go on a free. We have invested in and nurtured you since you were a little kid and are not prepared to see all that hard work go down the pan. We will invest the transfer fee in a player who does want to sign. I know he is potentially the next best thing but the long drawn out negotiations stink of bad blood somewhere. Frank could do without this and needs to know who is committed to the club. Having said that I'm not convinced that Frank has that much say about signings and negotiations. His comments the other day lead me to believe this is purely a matter for Marina. She needs to get her head down and resolve this.

I understand the sentiment and I would also like for this to be clarified as soon as possible, but the caring nurturing, investing football club is actually stretching it a bit. Those of us that have kids that have gone through the academy set up or indeed have been through it themselves would probably say that the clubs as a whole and those involved in the academy set ups are generally a cold, unfeeling group that use their positions and the emotional blackmail associated to lord it over these youngsters and create stressful, pressurized environments to "man up" these kids. At any stage they could be released with little justification which can often be at the whim of those in charge of the particular age group concerned. The clubs shouldn't really cry foul if these youngsters then grow up battle hardened and are single minded in achieving what they want. Largely they are a product of their environments.
July 12, 20197 yr Why does he need to sign right away? We are bored and nothing happens? He has all season to sign the deal.

I think he will sign but either way i'm pretty relaxed now with him as unlike with KDB (who no doubt people will draw comparisons with if he goes) we've done everything possible. If the appearances he got at the second half of last season, the number 10 shirt, two of his academy coaches in the set up, a player he idolized (who's talked him right up) becoming the manager, being able to skip the loan process (something not even Terry did) and being one of the big faces of the new era isn't enough to convince him then meh whatever.
