i don't like criticising the board, and this rumour could be bullsh*t. however, the people working at the club are likely being paid well north of £100k a year to run the club, and yet the best they're coming up with is andy carroll, some guy called boakye, and peter f**king crouch. sorry, but if you're working at chelsea and earning a damn good salary to do so, you should be able to perform a simple task such as researching talent.

how hard can it be to find better quality players than the above mentioned? like really? i understand it's january and hard to find people, but we are looking at two of the worst players, not just in europe, but in britain to lead our line when the main striker is out or not up to it. that sort of sh*t is unfathomable, whether true (in the case of andy carroll it seems to be anyway) or not.

Give me Carroll over Crouch.  Unreal, it has to be bollocks just because he is big and lanky.  surely to f**k!?

oh and listen to this guys! crouch is an experienced premier league striker, yet he's scored 3 goals this season. andy carroll is the same, he's scored 2 goals. however, there's a 20 year old lad on loan at swansea up top who's scored 4 premier league goals this season. crazy huh?

Our reporters have been doing some digging and have been told there has been no approach from Chelsea for Peter Crouch.

We understand Stoke aren’t aware of any interest from Chelsea, and they’d be reluctant to let Crouch leave without a replacement being lined up.

Crouch turns 37 at the end of this month, and signed a one-year contract extension at Stoke before Christmas.

I believe the Carroll story but Crouch is definitely a wind up. Stoke also deny that there has been any approach.
