Christian Pulisic - Official

Featured Replies

Tuchel has only been here for 5/6 weeks. I really doubt he has already decided his best 11 and I wouldn't rule out Pulisic being a regular soon. Ziyech certainly isn't doing enough to hold his place so I expect to see Pulisic come in.

The talk of him leaving is premature, he was our best player last season and he's still recovering from injuries.

If he comes in for Ziyech he would play centrally behind the CF. Do you see him thriving in that role? As far as I know  as it not a position he has much experience in.

Pulisic is at his best and most dangerous playing out wide on the left wing.  If we had Fabregas in his prime with CP, it would be scoring frenzy!!

He has played centrally in the attacking mid role many times for the US National team.

If we could get this guy back to his best, then I think it would transform this team and we would soon turn 1-0 and 2-0 wins into 3, 4 or 5.

I don't know what is wrong with him this season, I am sure injuries have something to do with it, but he's gone from potentially being one of best players on the planet to nothing in a blink of an eye.

After coming back from injury he's tried too hard at times but now he looks like he's not trying enough. Think it'll just take some time to get back up to speed.

He is not healed.  He is healed enough to be out on the pitch, but not really.  He is playing tentative because he is scared of reinjuring his hammy.  It is obvious really, makes it looks like he is not trying, because he is holding back out of fear.

Not sure Pulisic can play wb, even right now cho as wb is a bit scary at times defensively.

Yeah I don’t see how he can play WB.  He gets pushed off the ball too readily.

Interesting takes from TT. I guess TT missed the games last season where Pulisic was impactful for 90 minutes.

Clearly Pulisic is not in that form current, but I am not sure he's only good for 20-30 min each games.

For me when on form, hes our best attacker. It will be a matter of time, before he starts and really starts firing again. Tuchels rotated well and given everyone a fair chance to show tbey have what it takes, even those we were led to believe werent good enough. Pulisic is that one player who hasent really been given that chance yet, but he will.

I think he can do it, although I feel like his optimum spot is on the left wing.

I think playing the attacking midfield role for the USMNT likely had a lot to do with sort of a lack of other good options.  It will be interesting to see how the current crop of US players plays out for the national team but when he was playing with the old crop of players, Pulisic was by far and away the best player at literally any position other than GK.

No matter where you chose to put him he was the best player at that position just due to his talent.  However the next crop of players looks very talented and that might not be the case.

Not sure how accurate/truth this is, but if Tuchel keep sitting Pulisic for the rest of the season then I won't be surprise a move/loan might be in the card. Sure he's not in very good form at the moment, but he probably opened many eyes with his performances late last season that he's a quality player.

TT is winning so he probably doesn't want to make any changes to the roster/tactic, which means Pulisic will continue to remain outside of the 11. And no one is happy to sit on the bench most of the season, especially a young and talented player (same with CHO, Tammy, etc.).

Hope he'll get a chance to see more minutes for the rest of the remaining games. As much as I like Werner's effort and hard work, I can see Pulisic deserving more minutes in that position Werner plays. Werner has been very wasteful with his chances and goals/assists production wise; it's not that much better than Pulisic. A little frustrating to see Werner getting all those minutes, where Pulisic could have been given a few more.

His performances in the post COVID lockdown of last season came after the player himself said he went away and worked his bollocks off to come back and show what he’s all about.

He’s got the right mentality to get himself back on track here and hopefully he manages because he was brilliant up until that injury!

I’m amazed just how bad Pulisic has been this season. He’s been awful. I expected some form from him with Tuchel coming in but it’s not changed.

Get a clue, he has barely seen the pitch since TT took over.  He is playing tentative for sure with the little time he does get, protecting that hammy.  He will be back.  Every player I have ever seen get a bad hammy injury, took a long time to make it back.  Heck our boy Hazard has not been worth a piss since he left Chelsea due to injuries.

Surely starting within the next few games it would be criminal not to at least see what he can do with a full 90 mins. My only assumption if he carries on not getting any game time is that Tuchel is afraid he'll lose the ball too much, if that's what they are working on like with Ziyech and Havertz then he should be fine.

Despite not getting any starts he has been involved as much as the majority if the squad, since he has been coming of thr bench rather frequently that suggests TT at least deems him good enought to play. It could just be we (the fans) plus Christian need to remain patient and hopefully he'll take his chance like Kai did and show us some of that form from last year.

I thought he was decent against wolves in the 1st half before lamp decided to shift him to the right

Of course this is all bs.

He's contributed 1 goal contribution (2 goals, 1 assist) for every 453 minutes he's been on the pitch this season.

Or 1 in 5 games.

Frankly it's little wonder he's not being entrusted with minutes on pitch, he's been pretty dire.

Yup it’s frustrating, we saw how good he can be. At his best he is right up there along the elite but he seems unable to keep it up.

Theres already talk about him leaving, Werner too, I don’t believe any of it for a second. Tuchel probably told Pulisic he wants him to be at 100% and play without any injury worries and I don’t think he’s there yet.

I think its a fair comparison to say Pulisic is as injury prone as Arjen Robben in his last season. I wouldn't begrudge him a move as im not sure we'll see the best in him as I think the league is too physical and he's not strong enough. Similar shape to Duff too who was always picking up niggles.

👏.. don’t understand where this talk of asking for a transfer is coming from. He hasn’t been good enough, and last season was the 1st time in 5 seasons he has hit double numbers for goals and assists.

He needs to knuckle down and work harder; he is shooting less and making fewer key passes.

Hope not. All those teams would massively benefit from his runs and directness
