Lost his rythm when he was getting rotated in and out of the side. He can't seem to play with his back to goal either, it seems like a major weakness of his. He improved on it at the start of the season, but now he's struggling with it again.

I think he has been rotated all season. He hit a little bit of form for 3 or 4 weeks, then back to the average footballer he is.

He's not as bad as he's been recently though.

I have never rated Barkley - he has zero creativity and his vision and anticipation are very limited. He is OK to run around and have physical presence, but that's all he can do. When he has the ball I know for sure  nothing exciting will result from that.

Higuain's work ethic is great, runs for every ball and pressures always, always wanting to contribute.

This is it, for Sarri's system to work players have to buy in to and commit themselves. Higuain clearly understands that and looks sharp, hopefully he gets the debut goal.

Build up is too slow.

Think we’re missing Luiz, the centre backs have got acres of space in front of them but neither of them have the passing ability to exploit it.

CHO has been pants, just an endless stream of hit and hope crosses most hitting the first man.

Ampadu is such a tidy player.

At 1-0 Wednesday have a chance. I want to see us move the ball faster and maybe bring loftus on for Barkley as he just seems to be poor with vision and keeping the ball.

All our creative outlets are out of this one. Haz, Kante and Luiz. Ampadu for me is not really delivering. He is very talented at breaking the play and defending but his vision is limited and rhythm is not there.

Wednesday can feel a little aggrieved.

After VAR overturned their penalty they should have had a corner not an uncontested drop ball to us... from there we went on to win our penalty!

Agree about ampadu, he could be a holding midfielder in the traditional sense, but he has a long way to go to develop into a playmaker.

I still prefer him at centre back.

I think he has been our best player so far today. He's been tidy and has created the best chance for Higuain.

Scott you have to be kidding! One lofted ball that wasn't even close! He did give Wednesday a chance in the first 2 minutes though. Willian has been far the more influential in the first half.

Not saying Kovacic has been dire, he has been average so far, same as Barkley and a few others.
