BlueCo buy Chelsea FC

Proof is in the pudding.

What type of players did Todd buy? What sort of contracts did he give them?

When he was made to step down and Clownlakes people put in place was it the same wages and dame profiles? Nope.

I don’t care, they’re both clowns!

Either way, the club has been f**ked!

The situation ends in one of two ways:

Todd gets another investor to buy out Clearlake (because I doubt he alone can afford their shares)

Or Clearlake buys out Todd (This is probably the likelier scenario given Clearlake's net worth)

Indeed they are.

The latter more likely. Maybe when the fanbase can all know it is all down to Clearlake we will see some of the super league venom come back.

I remember some chatter about this around Pochettino's departure, so this isn't surprising news.

Not to say Boehly has been blameless through the last two years, but I think the real issue has always been Clearlake.

The fact that both Boehly and Clearlake want each other to sell up says everything. The relationship has broken down and either Boehly or Clearlake doesn't agree with the way the club is currently being run.

Lol, it's never boring as a fan of Chelsea!

Like the rest of you I have my opinions on both but unfortunately we only have snippets to go by.

Purely just an opinion..

I like Boehly. Yes he came in hard and fkd up in the beginning and if he's learnt from that then I prefer him. Why? His quote about stability, winning and i like his mentality. Unfortunately his over eagerness at the beginning has fkd things up but i get a sense hes willing to learn.

To him a successful club is trophies and that will bring in the cash. I think he wants to actually be a fan like roman. I also don't think he has the resources or structure behind him.

Clearlake...they have proven already in rgds to their target of being in the black on finances is "working" while fixing the issues above. But I also agree the business side is slightly more important.

They have the structure, the resources from expensive lawyers to a fk load of accountants, etc...

To them a successful club is one that makes a profit and maybe win a trophy or two in the process.

If its one or the other then my heart will  prefer boehly, challenge but get in trouble with psr/ffp and whatever his enthusiasm brings (pls not ronaldo, lol). So risk of heart attack also possible.

But my mind would want clearlake, I have no idea if their plan in rgds to these kids growing together for the next few seasons then being able to compete at the top for years and years is going to work. But at least we don't have to worry about psr or money issues, and we have the firepower to not be a punchbag for the PL (see Everton and Leicester) lol.

Unless you believe Clearlake is stupid, then this is not the plan.

Didn't they already say that's the plan.

I/we can only go by their statements and interviews, etc...

“Key Differences between player recruitment, wage structures etc about running the club has caused divide Boehly and Eghbali have differing ideas. What we are seeing now is closer to how Eghbali wants the Club Run #CFC“

Seems this transfer madness comes from Eghbali, not Bohley.

The issue I have is that it’s all one mass distraction and they’re running the finances so close to the line, that it will only take one bad deal to finish us off in terms of PSR

I’ve heard there’s an innocent Israeli national businessman who would be interested in acquiring the club. Roman something…

Hopefully Todd Boehly is the one who stays. I feel he has right interests at heart, he wants Chelsea to dominate and win trophies.

Clearlake is just here to make money. I wouldn’t put it past them to sell Cole Palmer at his peak.

Remember: every decision the club has taken has been signed off by both boehly and clearlake.

We'll get a lot of: "I didn't want to sack tuchel and hire potter, but I am the guy who wanted palmer" disseminated through their chosen media mouthpieces.

The truth is this, they are jointly responsible for taking the club backwards.

I get the overall point but he isn’t and wont be the first Co owner to sign off on things he doesn’t necessarily agree with, especially when he’s the minority owner.

Not sure I buy any of this yet.  Think the press just need something to talk about.

They do mention its all still professional at the club in rgds to their relationship. There may be some truth to it but I wouldn't be surprised if it's blown out of proportion again, same as everything else at Chels.

Competing briefs are already out so seems very, very real to me. Latest brief from Camp Boehly by Matt Law (who's confirmed to have direct access to that camp through Goldstein) is very interesting and quite scary.

For what its worth I am camp Boehly all the way here and I hope him and his side wins this power struggle. Clearly going to be a massive story going forward though that could disrupt our season again.

He had equal rights when it comes to decision making, so his being a minority owner isn't the most relevant thing here.

I. E. No one should be deceived by his current (or forthcoming) attempt to minimise his role in the many, many mistakes the club has made in little over two years of ownership.

Ugh, I have no idea how this will end. I like and dislike bits of both grps tbh like I posted earlier.

Shame...but yep, it's never boring being a Chelsea fan!

:face_palm:
