He could have done that and still got on with his job to the best of his ability. I'm sure Pochettino didn't plan to go through the season with no signings and another season at Wembley yet he didn't act like a schoolchild over it.

If he walked away after getting the absolute best of out of what he had then fair enough, but he let it get to the point he basically threw our league campaign to make a point.

I think he proved his point by winning the FA cup, I don't believe that he threw away the league campaign at all.

Pochetino is similar to Sarri, never won anything, never going to complain to the people that hired him.

He didn't look arsed atall when Watford and Bournemouth were smashing us and went to Man.City and set us up like we were San Marino.

For all the stick Mourinho got for his big game approach, he would have never gone into any game like that, ever!

By that logic Sarri should have been sacked months ago.

If even prefer the 6-0 to that game last season despite the difference in the score.

As hugely embarrassing as the 6-0 was we atleast got embarrassed while trying to get a result, the humiliation of the previous game at The Ethiad was more than just the score, we were literally going there to keep the score down.

At least it did show that Conte was correct, we can't play openly and expect to not get humiliated so I'm thankful for that. This also means that I prefer not to get humiliated.

There's not playing openly and going there like you're the San Marino of club football.

Ok I understand to a point, but being the San Marino during that season we still won the FA cup at least.

Sarri is not San Marino lets say, even so the team looks pretty similar to that when playing Man city;

The last 0:0 cup final: 39% possession, 0 shots on target.

The 6:0 loss: 44% possession, 4 shots on target.

The 2:0 win: 39% possession, 5 shots on target.

Looks like the more Sarri wanted to play his football or lets say the more open we were the worst possible outcome happen...

f**ks sake, we beat city a couple of months earlier and should have beaten them shortly afterwards in the cup final.

It was a result caused by our team throwing the towel in when we went 2-0 down.

I’m amazed how many keep defending this sh*t every week. Been outscored 16-2 or something like that in our last five away pl matches. Then he drops Hazard and Kante? Oh I guess he’s resting them for Brighton midweek

My patience is done. I want him tone. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this strongly about a manager before. He’s out of his depth.

Poor results I can accept f we’re playing youth and attractive football. - we do neither.

There has been ZERO improvement in our style of play. In fact it’s actually regressed over the course of the season. We play the most turgid boring football possible. We used to laugh at Barca when they used to have all the possession and we’d beat them on the counter. That’s now us, except Barca could sometimes win. We can’t, we’re horrendous.

Sarri is so stubborn and his tactics are woeful.

Of all the times and all the managers the board / Roman to show patience with, this is not it. Sarri is not the man to lead us forward IMO.

Dupe of my post from the match thread:

Build around CHO and Pulisic, with Tammy up front.

Bring back Mason Mount and integrate RLC properly.

Rebuild with a strong English core and a manager who wants to develop youth. Morris or Holland. Even Frankie.

Anything's better than this shower.

I just don’t and can’t understand how you drop the guy (Hazard) who torched Cardiff for a hat trick earlier this season, oh and the fact he’s our best player. If your going to drop him then why not start CHO?

Time's up for Sarri , this is just awful .Too stubborn and full of it,prefers to play Willian and Pedro because he has been working with

them.... it doesn't show.

Short answer: Out

Long answer: Piss off you inept chain-smoking fraud of an italian that has managed to turn us into a laughing-stock in 8 months while playing the most dull, brutally God awful football i have ever seen at this club. I'd pay for three seats to Naples from Heathrow myself if he, Jorginho and Higuain disappeared and never came back today. Bye bye.

His tactics don't work, and he will never change them. What you see vs Cardiff is what you would see next year as well, and the year after that if Sarri stays.

I don’t know where we’d go in terms of a manager but I think that’s it now Sarri has to go.

I have no idea what Odoi must be feeling after putting in such a performance midweek to not even get a sniff today, add to that Loftus Cheek and we’re throwing away our future, Mount and Tammy won’t want to be any part of this at the moment.

Glad we won but a clear offside goal and a 90 minute winner shouldn’t have been needed if Sarri doesn’t put Hazard on the bench. Sad for Hudson-Odoi because he deserves minutes. Really glad to beat those Cardiff c**ts though

Mate I will contribute to the seats....... what a joke this manager has made of all of us. So out of his depth it’s unreal.

Roman if you care about us still do your usual thing and rid our club of this idiot.

We need some proper Chelsea people back in the key roles at the club ... Lamps, JT, Jody, Steve Holland would do for starters ... maybe even Ballack as Director of Football ... I think he has the footballing and general intelligence for the role. Certainly much more qualified than Marina.

Not sure why Roman isn't interested, as surely much more of this and his asset value really starts to tank ...

His tactics, lineups, and subs are sack worthy.

But his man management skills are worse. You could have taken advantage of CHO’s confidence coming out of the England week, but he left him on the bench, and you could see how he felt about that in his face.  No wonder he said he didn’t watch him play for England.  That would have meant he had to play him today

Sarri was more interested in proving his point over CHO than he was in winning the game.   He must go tomorrow.
