Chelsea vs Man Utd (FA) Mon 18th Feb 19:30 GMT

When will the usual suspects show up and have a go at the "moaners"?

I bet some of them just accepted this as well and blamed the players entirely.

For those who always blame the players, the effort was there for everyone to see, they WERE trying. But once again, it was clear that whatever system Sarri wants them to play simply isn't working with this particular group in this particular league. The man is is clearly out of his depth here, he knows but one way of playing, and if it's not working he's like a child lost in the woods.

I was waiting for him to show some sign of improvement, some changes, even a hint at Plan B, but he's still as clueless today as he was months ago.

Sarri has ripped the heart and fabric out of this club in 2/3rds of a season.  Mediocre signings, half decent players being left on the bench or loaned out ...what a f**king shambles he and the Board have turned this club into. Can hardly say that after 7 months progress is being made; he's a stubborn old goat and he would rather see us toil week after week because he won't change a f**king thing or even consider a Plan B; we can't score, we can't defend, we have no leaders and we have no stomach for a fight any longer.  Well if Buck, Marina and the Board want this on their heads be it; keep him and we won't be looking at CL football or top 4 for the next few years.  Top 4 for the next 5 years will be City, Utd, Liverpool and Spurs with CFC being a 6-10 place club if Sarri stays...mind you it will take quite a few transfer windows to sort this mess out and wipe the slate clean...and all without Hazard who will be enjoying the Madrid sunshine if he had any sense.

Problem is people continue to blame the coach. He isn't blameless, but people act like we have game changers on the bench or as if a formation change will turn us into a far better side.

The board have made shocking signings for a few years now and we have many average and aging players.

The board knew what they were getting into by signing Sarri. It required time and players suited to the system, so it's either back him or sack him and we are back to square one again changing system AGAIN! It is illogical.

Point is he already said he wouldn't.  If plan A don't work you get better at Plan A so he says..
United had a plan for the first half and a different one for the second.

Don't even care about plans just give the opposition something to think about something different Higs up front fed off scraps..

I don't know where we go from here because we don't have anyone out there who can take over and most managers who have any sense who avoid us like the plague.

I really don't want him to be sack because I believe if given time he can get us to where we want to be but he really needs to see what is happening now and make adjustments to the system until he can get his players in. This is an absolute shadow of a team that started the season.

I don't care about Jorginho or plan A or Plan Z give the opposition something to think about.

What I saw tonight was the players actually trying but the system failing and even if we hadn't made defensive mistakes we still wouldn't have scored.

I heard yorkley got banned so one less than normal.

The saddest thing is that out of 26 pages of comments no one said it was unexpected.

Watching Chelsea nowadays is like watching an elderly relative in the hospital ward.

That does sound sad though.

Am a bit fan of Sarri but he's pushing the limit now for me.......I don't think we will get any better for the rest of the season unless he tries something different

I want it to work but I’ve never seen/heard the fans turn like that before. It’s a sad state of affairs.

Moaning about people that moan about people moaning, you’re hitting moaning levels we’ve never seen before.

Doubt we’d get the manager we want at this stage of the season

Zidane NOW! If the players f**k up he will head but them!! Terry as Number 2! Zola is a legendary player but mediocre as a coach or manager, sorry to say hes out of his depth as is Sarri!

What manager do people want? As soon as the first sign of problems everyone is calling for the manager's head. When does it stop and the coach is backed?

People keep talking about wanting long term stability, but this fickleness shows they don't. No coach is gonna want to stay long term if the club themselves can't commit.

Zidane has almost a perfect record as a manager, he won't come here unless Roman gives him something like 300m for transfers.

How on earth did we go those fifteen games unbeaten at the start of the season? What happened?

If you analise the first 15 ,16 or so games we were lucky. Unfortunately Sarris luck has run out and the chasms are now evident for all to see.

This game is all about winning isn’t it?? So why doesn’t Sarri try to keep his job by playing a different formation see if we get results then use the transfer windows to build his way of playing. Ask the players how they want to play. He has to go after this we are a top club and can’t take this s**t every 3 days.

I think that must be it for Sarri. I wanted to give him to the end of the season and reavaluate but that last sub done it for me. Hope he’s gone in the morning. Zola can stand in for the rest of the season, he’s not the perfect choice but better than the sh*t Sarri keeps churning out game after game.

That sub had 'please sack me' written all over it

I fully behind Sarri 100% but he needs to try something different because we are very easy to play against. Tonight the players actually tried but even if United didn't score we wouldn't have scored we just wouldn't thats the problem that even when the players are trying the system is easy to counter

Give him it as no other manager worth their salt is going to take the job. Each successful Chelsea manager has been given the money, but he would need to control the transfers.

I want to see stability but I have to see a glimmer of something beginn8ng to work, just a glimmer. Sarri is showing us nothing but stubbornness and an inability to change his system or even try to adapt to the EPL.i have no confidence in him ever changing his ways or becoming successful here.

I thought the players definitely showed up tonight. it's just a few of them aren't good enough.

Alonso and Luiz make mistakes defensively nearly every game.

Sarri shouldn't be picking players that have let him down in previous games, so it's all on him tonight in my opinion.

A new manager wont do much better with this squad though, we are weak in all areas of the pitch.

Try something different like what? The players aren't good enough. A formation change isn't going to help. We have played under a defensive coach, people said it was boring and we need attacking coach, we get an attacking coach and people are saying it's not good enough.

I am really confused. The top three clubs in the league have showed faith and patience in their managers. Arsenal will most likely show faith in Emery.

Problem is you have to be sure you are backing the right man. A lack of a Plan B is enough reason to believe he isn’t.

Would you trust him with a fat transfer kitty in the summer? Remember if the experiment fails you will set the club back many years with expensive players on fat contracts.
