Most wages are obscene in football, I agree. Combine that with a player who spends about 75% of the season out with injuries, and the rest returning from injury, and you can see why many are considering if we should sell him.

Fully get that, I understand why people want him sold. Just thought the "obscene wages" bit was unnecessary.

Because all of the wages paid to footballers is obscene. It's hardly a hate message is it really. Singling out a particular player and directing messages to him is unacceptable but seems to be a standard of life in this sh*t social media day and age. However a general forum comment that footballer wages are obscene compared to their work output is no worse than numerous social comments about Bankers and their bonuses during a recession.

Sorry but this happens in every single job regardless. If you are continuously off work on long term sick, regardless of the benefits you may be entitled to, i understand there is a point where your employer can terminate you employment simply because your output doesn't match your income

I can understand why some fans are losing patience and would like to see him sold. However, I don't think he chose to miss 75% of each season at any point. He has just had wretched luck with injuries. You could certainly question the decision by the owners to offer him such a lucrative, long term deal when he was already known to have some chronic injury issues.

Either way, while I will understand if we decide to take an offer from another club, it will still be a sad day.

They do seem to be taking a cautious approach for all the players, and I wouldn't say anyone comes across as being rushed back. 

Weird how they keep breaking down again though, and not always for the same thing either.

He’s supposed to be fully fit for around 11th of March… Hopefully he will be a bit part player for a month or two before he starts playing every game!

Please just don’t rush him back…

If by some miracle James' injuries are behind him after the surgery I wonder if we could swap Gusto to LB. He's far too good to be a back up and our left backs aren't great.

I wonder if part of keeping James as healthy as possible, is for him to become a CB or CDM.

He has the skill set to do either to a top level, and would mean less running and less instant bursts of pace against fast wingers.

Being sold in the summer according to the times.

Nothing surprises me with this club at the moment!

Funny considering yesterday there were reports we would reject bids of £100m+ for James if they came in.
