missed him today, just saying

Nope we missed Kante. If kante was in, their 1st goal would have been far harder because he would sprint back and cover that middle space

Kova sprinted back in fairness. Was him that body checked Toni and stopped him trying to block the shot.

I actually thought that was more Rudiger's fault than Kovacic. Rudiger just kept backing off and backing off, he was inviting the Wolves player to take a step inside and get a shot away. He needed to step up and attempt to a tackle. It was actually a good example of why Rudiger struggles in a back 4 system. Knowing when to back off and when to step up is a crucial part of a back 4.

He is also not the same player now his move to Real is all but confirmed.

13 goals and 16 assists in all comps this season. Fantastic and hopefully more to add.

Brilliant season.

Can you and Rom please learn how to better link up Mase? Cannot afford for either of you to pick selfish options or ignore each other on Saturday.

13 goals and 16 assists now this season.

We said at the start of the season that Mount, Pulisic, Havertz, Ziyech and Werner need to bring their goal contributions up this season and Mount is the only one that has really done it.

Havertz and Ziyech had a good month, Werner hasn't improved a single bit and Pulisic is still sporadic.

And yet some would like to move him on!!! I fully expect Mason to kick on now as he matures and these statistics will become the norm.

There will still be hot takes that he shouldn't be in the England world cup squad.

The amount of negativity Mount gets from some Chelsea fans and loads of non Chelsea fans is staggering.

Missing a penalty is one of those things that could happen to anyone.

Thought he had a decent game as well.

I thought that flick in extra time was quality but unfortunately RLC didn't have a strikers instinct to be on the move otherwise he would of been clean through on goal.

Mason will bounce back!

I don't want to be too hard on him because I think in the past 3 seasons, he's been far and away our most consistent and improved player, but we can't ignore that he as much as a few others at the club is lacking that bite that separates the best from nearly men. That is what Mount is at this stage of his career, 6 Wembley finals and not a single win is a horrible stat on his record.

It is an awful stat reflects poorly on him and how poor he has been in thise finals along with how poor we have been in general.

He wasn't poor today and was one of our better players. Shame about the penalty though.

You know what though, I'm not going to put it all down to him. This is what can happen to a player that becomes your most important player at the age of 20. You look at players like Terry, and look at the players he played alongside at a similar age.....winners. Mount doesn't have the privilege to learn from great players around him like Terry and Joe Cole did, he has to learn it on his own, and I extend this problem onto James and Pulisic too. Terry had a world cup and 2 times Champions League defender next to him when he started, then when Mourinho arrived, he played in a defence that had 2 Champions League winners. Joe Cole was as raw as you can get out of young player when he joined, but because he had the experience and so many winners around him, he could feed off it and he grew into a winner. Mount and a few of our other younger players have to learn this all by themselves. They can't learn anything from the most of the senior players in our team, they are a bunch of chokers. Rudiger (as good of a season as he has had) Jorginho and especially Lukaku, this is who our younger players are learning from, players that have made a career out of being nearly men and choking when it mattered most.

It's on the younger players to be the key men at this club, but it should the more senior players that are guiding them.

That Ross sub, save those for Mount in the future TT.

He is one of our best players and brings a lot to the side. But if we are going to a shoot out sub him off please.

Spurs last year in the league cup, Norwich this season and now this. He is a terrible pen taker. It is on you for leaving him on.
