You should watch him play. Not good enough.

Only reason his name isn't mentioned in the clearout of the squad is because he's an academy product and people get caught up in their emotions and feelings like an old woman knitting socks by the fireplace with an apple cider.

Nothing to do with him performing at a high level for two and a half years before his form fell off a cliff then. All academy bias.

People have been completely unhinged about him playing for our club since the moment he stepped on to the pitch in Chelsea shirt.

There's been some awful agendas against him which is I was the first to defend him from but if I'm honest now I think it's going too far the other way to the point even perfectly legitimate critisism of him is getting twisted and grouped in with the profile you described.

Not aimed at you but that's one's pretty much voided given how another midfielder that started in Porto has been treated and spoke about, even in and around that night.

Players always have their fans for whom they can do no wrong and detractors in which they can do no right (f**king weirdos as I like to think of them). It’s the age of social media (age of c**ts?) and people never allowing to admit that they got something wrong.

It’s simple for me though. He came in at a time of turmoil for the club (which still hasn’t ended when you think about it, which you should), performed well for club and country and now for some reason has gone to sh*t.

He could regain his form or he prove to be another Debbie Ally. He’s earned himself a bit patience to find out though.

Its an amazingly imbecilic statement isn't it, let's ignore that he's a young player that even if people don't thin he deserved POTY he was still one of our top performers for the past 2 seasons.  Let's ignore the hugely important goals, assists and performances that took us to a CL win...

Its just cos e's English we like 'im innit.....f**king idiots.

What sort of place do we live in now when Sky sports has a regular morning show discussing football "news" and "insider gossip" and the studio guests are three absolute nobody's who have set themselves up on YouTube or twitter or whatever this vlogging or bogging is and are now being treated as football aficionados. Fking Internet geeks living life out of their bedrooms. Experts in the know, please.

Ah but that Italian guy no one knows anything about on twitter definitely knows hats long on at all the clubs, he just has to be believed.

Even though in reality he's called Keith and lives in Slough.

Just how long exactly is this going to be used as credit in the bank? It’s been 2 years.  Havertz scored the winner and I can’t wait to see the back of him. Jorginho was Uefa player of the year and came closest to winning the Balon d’Or since prime Lampard  I can’t wait to see him improved on. I support the club, not the player. When said player is jeopardizing the club, I will call him out.

It’s not cause he’s English. Matter of fact I firstly believe because he’s English he’s protected by the media unlike Havertz, Ziyech, Pulisic etc.

People on here still cling to Jorginho's European POTY from 2 years ago so Mount must still have some wiggle room with his POTY last year.

So what's the plan here? Sell Mount buy Nkunku? Sell Jorginho buy Rice? Sell Havertz buy whoever striker you think would be better on paper?

And then when those turn our to be even worse than the players you just replaced, you'll finally say that we need a real manager and coaches that actually improve players not make them worse.

I’d actually keep Mount but good god the lengths people go to defend him is nauseating. In no way do I think at his current form he improves us so until then I’d solely utilize him for tactical reasons.

It’s about improving with the right profile. If our goal is to play free flowing attacking football,  Nkunku replacing Havertz makes sense. Zakaryhan makes sense. Rice doesn’t make sense unless he’s partnered with a technical midfielder. Enzo makes sense. Caicedo and Lavia make sense if our attacking players carry creative abilities.

Let's see if we sign 4 players in the summer and then if all 4 of them turn out to be good players for us. No matter who we sign, the manager and coaches still need to train them.

I’m optimistic on Potters influence and development on impressionable younger players. His track record at Brighton speaks.

Mount has been our best player for years... Except for Reece James who is our new three player Kante at right back... when fit.

I'll take anyone from the under 16's up including the women CFC team, drive Tammy back from Roma or look for signs of life in a cemetery where dead people destroy more grass than Havertz. Do think the generational talent would be better utilised as Stamford the mascot. https://www.chelseamegastore.com/en/chelsea-stamford-mascot/p-1278324105126219+z-992-3837641079

I mean, you literally do exactly that with a certain other member of that Porto lineup.

Lol.

All of Mount, Kai, Pulisic, and Werner had important goals/assists during the journey to winning CL while still being younger players.

And only one of them has had terrible form excused repeatedly while fans couldn't wait for Werner to get shipped out and now can't wait for Kai and Puli to get shipped out despite those two still being young. And Mount has been as bad or worse than Kai and Puli all season.

Now if we expand beyond young players....Giroud wasn't good enough. Jorginho isn't good enough. Kova isn't good enough. Ziyech isn't good enough. Despite all contributing to the CL win run.

I didn't bring up the English aspect but since you did, none of the other players everyone wanted shipped out or now want shipped out are English. And there's only one player across the midfield and attack whose done fook all all season who should not be shipped out. And he is English. Mr Mount.

Should have signed that £200k a week offer!

Has so much to give Chelsea, but needs to up his game and output. Can see a period on the bench soon, which long term might not be a bad thing.

He really needs to be benched he is so far off it’s astonishing. Stop playing players on reputation, had he not been English the reaction would be different.

Really not sure what his nationality has to do with anything, Mount gets the most stick on social media than anyone on the team.
