Mate go on any Chelsea post on twitter and instagram and every post involving Mount has hundreds of African's and American's under it saying to sell Mount, its beyond embarrassing to our club.

Yeah, I was thinking on here. Twitter and Instagram is jam packed with idiots so I don't at all doubt you are correct. But I don't think they are representative of actual supporters, more like trolls who gets a dopamine fix from hating on players.

That's it, they're very much a loud minority on there. There's several big twitter accounts that think they're justified wishing injuries on players like Mount because there's a couple of thousand other kids on there liking all their tweets.

I don't really use it. Kids and idiots. I genuinely don't understand why footballers and other celebrities even bother with it.

I have said before, footballers don't like fans. Fans are idiots, fans are fickle and fans have the opportunity to be personal and nasty without any repercussions. Footballers love and crave the adulation from fans as a group.

The standards we allow nowadays is disgraceful. People hiding behind the Internet to throw sh*t at players.

My lad got grief yesterday, personal about his missus and kids at a club where he made over 300 appearances for them. No mean feat in non league. Kids and ar$eholes

If you do that and find Chief Blessing Moses can you tell him I've transferred year £789m he passed through my bank account but I'm still waiting for my 1% admin fee to be reimbursed

He was never the person you build a team around, he’s not a game changer you build teams around game changers and match winners.

Like say one who set up a winning goal in a CL final, or one who's been our top goals and assist maker since he broke into the team?

That’s possibly the case, but I don’t think that people saying he’s not trying or that he needs to be moved on is constructive. He’s not at his best, true, and I think that he needs some time on the bench if only to get some rest (he’s probably one of the players with more minutes on his legs in the last few seasons, with Club and country). But, he’s a player that we need because of his high energy press and intensity. He also has top quality technique as he showed when we won the CL.

I don't think the majority that are want him to leave per se but there is an unfortunate reality that a big decision could come with these contract talks.

I think one thing most can agree on is he's not an untouchable like James is and for me, while I do want him to sign that also needs to be reflected in contract talks if he's asking for parity with Reece, or more than him.

The lads got talent he’s shown that the past few seasons, but no one should be untouchable just look at pep with Foden dropping him because he’s not up to his usual standard at the minute. I think if we didn’t have the injuries he would have been taken out of the limelight for a while because he has been very poor. Hopefully he finds some form soon.

Could honestly play a drinking game for the amount of times you see fans cling on to the Champions League final assist.

Can do the same for the amount that try to play it down

Part of me could easily see us letting him go and Liverpool pairing him and Bellingham together and Mount being to them what Lampard was for us, in status. Could easily see that happen.

Why can't we sort out an amicable deal, keep him and manage his pitch time reasonably so that we get the best out of him in the role that best suits.

If we continue to gauge on the basis of value for money against wages, then comparisons to Sterling must surely then come into play. Does his overall game for the money offer more or less than what Sterling offers.

Mount isn’t an option for Liverpool. Matheus Nunes of Wolves is almost nailed on for Liverpool in the summer.

Probably.  The media were trying to create a story out of it tbf. Unless they get more money through the door they will struggle to do more than Bellingham anyway.

But the point remains. We could easily lose Mount to a rival and he could go on to be great. I would like us to have a period with him where his minutes are managed sensibly and he is played in his favoured position throughout

Just pointing out he has actually changed very big games, or is that not allowed?

The Liverpool thing is a complete non starter for me. They will never pay the wages that Mount needs to leave Chelsea.

Mounts agent has just gone for a beer with Terry's agent. Unfortunately none of them told Mount that he needs to actually perform at the same time as a contract negotiation!

Hoping he turns it around. I can see him doing well with an attack of Felix Mudryk and Havertz in front of him. But before that happens, I'd bench him for the next 2 and then start him against Dortmund.

That'll get his fire going and give him the football rest he probably needs

How about clinging onto player of the year two years in a row? Double figures in goals and assists last season?

It might make sense if you talked about Havertz instead…

Havertz has 6 goals/assists so far this season, Mount has 5 goals/assists and look at the sh*t he’s getting. It’s ridiculous.

Havertz plays as a striker every game what’s his excuse???

Yeah, because he’s an academy player they forget how he scored a fantastic goal against Porto, our first, for example. He was a big player for us for two seasons, key role in our CL run, but hey ho, he’s on a rut let’s just sell him ‘cause we’re always overhyping the academy players.

Mate you could also say Timo run is just as important does that mean we build a team around him?

Thiago Silva should've been player of the year two years in a row, and about to get his third this season

Was it bollocks.

Why do people against Mount keep repeating this rhetoric? I'm yet to see fans say build the team around him, just that he's good enough to play for Chelsea and not be sold.

Timo is twice the player Mount is lets be real, if Mount was at a club like Wolves/Villa none of us would be looking to sign him. He doesn't even press that well anymore.

You must have been dropped on your head at a young age.

Hmm could the Mount thread take the place of Jorginho thread after the latter leaves?

Looks like it. Now we just need someone to take Gols place to oppose RIP and we are golden.

I think @Drogba1 may be a contender reading that precious post.
