I think that means something different to me than to you. It's kind of like saying he's the most 'honest' member of the conservative party.

Lol. Regardless, when he says something is happening, it's happening.

I'm ready to click the box that says "Move this thread to the General Chelsea FC Forum", finger is hovering over the button.

I would very much like all 58 pages of this thread to move.

I think this is a good video of his main skills in one game. Playing in the center of Germanys midfield. Cool head, pretty good passing, a couple of nice through balls, very well taken goal after a brilliant run.

Not to draw Kovacic into conversation too much but as Mateo might be great between the boxes he does nothing in them. Havertz always looks for goal and he has these intelligent runs inside the box in games. Granted Kova is playing probably a different role but his xG is zero in games.

Think we are all pretty tired of the saga now. Just get it done, announcement today would be nice.

No keep it going I’ve got a bet on it making 60 pages before he signs.

A nice summary of where he is at. Loose first touch and some poorly executed simple passes but good finishing and an eye for killer pass.

Lots to work with but not the finished article by any means.

Good link. Only now do I realize he is primarily left footed. I think that’s an automatic advantage.

Yes. Not an finished article by any means. We can expect these kind of performances from him next term.

Yeah. I think the left footedness is something we have worked on across the squad. Ziyech, Sarr and likely Havertz is a big improvement from only having Giroud as a non lb left footer.

Yes. I think there is a risk that his fee, those glitches in his game and his lower tempo approach leads to lots of criticism next season, particularly when you compare to a van der Beek  (who is a ripper of a player and would have been a great complement for Mount) signing for half the price at United.

That said you can see with a bit more maturity he can be a very special player, easily in the best few players in his position in the world.

I can see where the ballack comparison comes from after watching that video, similar style in the way he's always available for a pass, gets around the pitcb well and keeps it simple when needed, yet able to put a defence breaking pass in, also excellent timing if forward runs.

If he pops in a goal every other game you tend to excuse a couple of missed passes.

I think a bit too much is made of his 'low tempo approach'. He is a tall boy. There is nothing slow about him. He is very fast when he gets going https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/top-10-fastest-players-kingsley-coman-schulz-hakimi-rebic-havertz-3907 and he reads the game very fast. He just isn't explosive like Hazard. He won't do Hazard things but he can very well ghost behind the line and head one in. We have none of the type in the squad.

What he will get is kicks to his feet. That is a new experience for him for sure.
