Won't make a blind bit of difference to the team unless we get our defence sorted over the next few weeks ..... time is running out.

You know the transfer window was extended to October right?

How? Once this deal is done (which is where most attention seems to be atm) it'll free up resources to focus more on other deals

That's not how this works. We can do two things at once.

I always say never underestimate how much of a draw London is when recruiting, people underestimate it.

No one in their right mind especially young millionaires want to live in Liverpool for example.

Haha, true.  That's why they all live in Cheshire's golden triangle between Wilmslow, Mottram St. Andrew and Alderley Edge.  I'm sure the views aren't so bad from the mansions in those villages.

You know how it is, one person hears it and the story grows legs...

I have a friend who works as a journalist and according to him often the "source" in these type of stories is actually the person in question themself.

you don´t think there are enough hours in a day and enough people employed by Chelsea to work on multiple deals at once?

London is probably a draw but I think professionally the opportunity to team up with other top pros in a younger team and make a real contribution to a team that has genuine title possibilities with a coach that likes to attack would be a pretty big draw in itself. Lampard deserves some credit but I suspect the whole project is bigger than the individual parts.

Equally if its clear there is a great attacking line up a defender and goal keeper will also want to be there. When players want to be there things happen.

yeah, you sound dumb

He's not really though is he. There still has to be fiscal responsibility, business cases signed off, payment plan amortization and budgetary alignment to existing corporate structure. All of this done by multiple people along with numerous scouting reports and deal discussions to a point. Ultimately it will fall to one person to sign off the deals after negotiating the final player and agent requirements. That board representative is Marina and I just cannot see her hopping from the final aspects of one deal to another. I'm certain she is finalising the Havertz deal before moving on to any other deal that may have got through the business case and financial planning aspects. I don't think it's dumb at all to recognize that

It really depends on how the business is run. In any big business there is a lot of delegation and many things being pursued simultaneously. Alternatively Marina may want to involve herself in negotiating every transfer. In my view micro management is a worse business model but it works for some. I believe in empowering the workforce.

Noble thoughts however I suspect Command & Control are the way things get finalised under Roman's tenure.

Now I've just read this"Chelsea have decided they will only sign Kai Havertz this summer for a fee that suits them, according to European football expert Gabriele Marcotti."what the hell is going on.

This is obviously a tactic to drive the price down.
