January 11, 20206 yr Can’t follow the game, but 2-0 up -is this pure luck or are we just not as bad as many of the posts suggest?
January 11, 20206 yr Reece James is so goodSo you said... [emoji1]He's amazing going forwards but he still has a raw moment in him on the defensive side of his game.

January 11, 20206 yr We have put in a fair amount of decent crosses this season, but so often nobody is anywhere near them. That cross from Hudson-Odoi was perfect for somebody to get a foot or head onto, but nobody gambled.

January 11, 20206 yr One of those games we will probably win 3 or 4 nil but could be losing at half time. The penalty and keeper error certainly changed the game .

We’ve benefited from a couple of of borderline VAR decisions, on another day it could be 1-1, but we’re looking good value for the three points.
January 11, 20206 yr Imagine how much we'd be salivating at the prospect of signing players like James and Abraham if they were somewhere else. We have landed on our feet with this group of youngsters.

When i saw Christensen was starting and knowing that Burnley are quite meaty up front ,i had to strat poping pills to chill me sen out since i think the dane is quite iffy in our back line
January 11, 20206 yr 2 minutes ago, Dean said: Can’t follow the game, but 2-0 up -is this pure luck or are we just not as bad as many of the posts suggest? We created nothing before the penalty. Burnley looked dangerous from set pieces and the more likely team to score. We got the second goal and have looked more comfortable since.
January 11, 20206 yr "Can’t follow the game, but 2-0 up -is this pure luck or are we just not as bad as many of the posts suggest?" A little bit of both, Burnley slightly offsides, saving a goal. And we had to clear another off the line. Both goals we scored came because they made some major mistakes in the back. We can't keep the ball at all, and have given up some poor fouls.
January 11, 20206 yr If our decision making in the final third was just a bit better we would score loads.
January 11, 20206 yr "We have put in a fair amount of decent crosses this season, but so often nobody is anywhere near them. That cross from Hudson-Odoi was perfect for somebody to get a foot or head onto, but nobody gambled." Reece James picks out people with crosses, most of our guys just hit balls to dangerous areas.
January 11, 20206 yr I'm guessing the daipers are no longer in a twist about VAR these days! Not really playing great , that was never a penalty and anything other than the UKs ridiculous use of VAR wouldn't have disallowed that Burnley goal. But it's 2 0 so I'm as happy as Julian Clary at a latex party. Midfield three haven't been up to much Barkley little better than the other two. Mount, improved a bit after Abraham goal, and Jorginho not really in the game. this is the Jorginho from last season. As soon as someone sticks to him his contribution is non existent. A top class player shouldn't need the time on the ball he does. More positive has been Willian who has really looked capable of creating chances and James is, as always, a danger coming forward. . Can't see us keeping a clean sheet given how atrociously we are defending set pieces so unless we get a third I expect some nail biting in the second half. However its 2 0 against a notoriously awkward team who gives a f**k! I'll take that all day long. And we did improve after the second goal.
January 11, 20206 yr The inferior opposition gets the first yellow...I thought it was part of the rules that one of our players gets the first booking of the game.

Maybe you didn't see the linesman flag it for offside LOL
