A divorce with a wife ,who is the mother of your kids, who was with you for more than a decade will affect anyone. In a normal job, people suffering from these get to take a break or resign just to get their mental health in order.

He can you know. I can't believe there is a good chance Arsenal will finish above us. And we finish 4th for the 3rd consecutive season (assuming Spuds don't pull a madness). May 7, 20224 yr Unable to arrest this slump. We suddenly look like a side that hasn’t been coached for months. Personal issues clouding his judgement?

Nobody said these defeats and draws are justifiable but it's just being human to understand why he's been making terrible decisions. People take months to years to recover from divorces. You really think a week off in the business end of the season when half the players are leaving and the club in total turmoil with the owner issue is enough to cure a person? We were fecking lucky he even stayed at this point. The fact that we are on course for 4th is a miracle in and of itself.
May 7, 20224 yr I'm not going to jump on the whole personal issues thing because I think it just gives these players another excuse to be sh*t. If this was a one off season, then I could buy into that, but this is basically no different from the past 5 years.

He can, but he can't really. Also finishing 3rd or 4th means absolutely nothing, at least we're a more stable top 4 team and not like in the past when we could miss out.

I do believe in TT, but the reason why I am mad as hell is because I can see him being sacked next season if these players don't leave us.
May 7, 20224 yr I am sure Tuchel has been affected by the ownership changes and his own private issues. However new owners will be looking to challenge for the major titles, and if they have any doubts about him they may well decide to start with a fresh manager.

Did he give up and resign when the club was going through a phase where the club ownership was up in limbo? Did he badmouth the club or made a huge fuss when the club was being shamed by everyone in media for being associated by the Ukraine war? When his wife filed for divorce, did he immediately resign to take care of it? This manager has been professional since day 1 of his appointment and has been totally respectful to the club and the fans when the club hasn't been giving him the most ideal work environment. Yeah, he's paid millions and he has been very professional throughout. Should he be held responsible for his actions and decisions? Sure and personally I think he should resign after the season to take a break from it all to at least get his life back together. At least be respectful enough to the guy when comparing him with his contemporaries because Pep and Klopp have an absolutely way better working environment.

It's not healthy for him to stay at the club with the whole mess the club is in and how messy his life has been throughout the year.
May 7, 20224 yr Jesus Christ. What do people think Tuchel has been doing. The team are just fatigued, tuchel isn't coaching them wrong, he isn't affected by his divorce. It's not rocket science, we need better players and a break. Tuchels fine. He's going to be our manager next year. And hopefully the year after that.

I have had my really poor moments with my Mrs but work have I always been taken care of. I understand ofcourse that this is individual.

I’m currently having problems with the wife - University work, baby and sorting out the house move on my own has proved to be too much pressure for me and it’s putting a strain on our marriage. This morning she left, for a week or so, until I finish university. It does f**k your head big time and I feel depressed as hell, heading home now and no one is there. Im just saying I have no idea how Tuchel coped with an actual divorce. F*ck me, not an easy time.

I can barely be bothered to watch. I'm bored of it. Chasing a target that we more or less achieved months ago. It's not excusable at all. They need to be more professional and want it.

Maybe this is me subconsciously kicking back against turning into Arsenal but I never get that tense in a top 4 race. I'd be screwing if today happened in a title race or relegation fight but truth be told I'm over it already and it's been the case with pretty much every dropped point since we've been realistically out of the former.

May 7, 20224 yr If it weren't for the FA Cup final, you might as well not watch Chelsea again for the rest of the season. We will end up like Man United are currently, not putting any effort what so ever and getting battered. (Which is funny because we were suppose to get battered today anyway). These players have checked out. Weak mentality. It's freakily disgusting. If we finish below Arsenal, this has to be up there as one of the worst PL seasons in the last 20 years. We were supposed to bridging the gap between City and Liverpool. We can't even do that. We are going to end up 25+ points behind. It's the same old sh*te. Edited May 7, 20224 yr by Mana

As for Tommy, I'm taking it that Alonso got injured today, being as he was probably our best player until the sub?
