Here’s a question for you - would you consider that this season progress has been made? 
 

At the start of the season, we were looking at “hunting City down” and challenging for the title. Obviously that hasn’t happened because of various factors. 
 

Positives:

- 2 trophies plus potential for one more

- We have closed the gap points wise

- We’ve matched Liverpool in all of our 3 games (but not beaten them yet)

- Some squad players now fully integrated into the first team

- looking like we’ll secure 3rd place now 

- We haven’t completely gone off the boil despite severe injuries

Negatives:

- Home record

- Lukaku situation / failure to intergrate him

- Finishing still an issue 

 

What do you think? And where do we go from here for next season?

If we win the FA Cup then yes, otherwise no.

Similar to how we needed 1 point prior to Roman buying the club, we ended up winning against Liverpool. It's settled then, we shall win the FA Cup final as the final goodbye to Roman.

It looks like Spurs are going to win, up 2 - nil last I checked.  So it will be important to get a result in the last 2 EPL matches.

Wouldn't even consider The Super Cup or Club World Cup as major trophies. They are simply the cherry on top of major trophies that were won the prior season.

If we can't draw against an "on the beach" Leicester or a relegated Watford then I don't want us to be top 4.

Very poor in game management yet again by TT, we have seen this far too many times this season.  Never makes subs at the right time, leaves it far too late to change games.  He better wake up or he will be gone.  He is not the messiah everyone thinks he is...

His changes were once again totally inexclipable. And the starting with Pulisic ...?

This is a far below average season for us. An average season should be 1 trophy.

considering we had one precisous day less to rest and lost Kai last minute we made an open game and that‘s all That I hoped for. Both teams looked on fire yet tired at the same time.

The last sentence is spot on. I don’t rate him as high as others do, and I feel he hides behind a back 5. If I was Boehly I would back him massively as long as he switches to a back 4.

It isn’t an average squad though, we had a better and deeper bench than Liverpool today.

The next season will be much more difficult with likes Rudiger gone and the club sale sealed too late to acquire enough good new players.

Love the guy but he has made some really dodgy decisions this season, and that’s 3 cup finals he’s now lost here.
