Historically speaking, Chelsea always does poorly on November. I can hardly remember any season where our November was decent

The glory days of Geoff Hurst and Bobby Gould, before we went on the worst goal-scoring drought in our history.

That's not November, though.

Klopp would have gotten Van Dijk. He did everything possible to get him.

Lukaku is sh*te in finals. I do not want to see a complete bottler at the club.

I wanted Alex Sandro too but Juve wasn't playing ball.

People kept saying those 3 but people always forgot Conte also wanted Candreva, Perisic and other close to retiring players. We would have lost the youth prospects again to other clubs.

Also people forgot that it was Conte that didn't see use for Salah. Well wouldn't you know it 1 season later he came to the PL and smashed in goals for fun playing at the exact same position as Pedro and Willian at the time.

Just look at the current Inter squad. It's filled with 30+ year olds. That could've been present day Chelsea. I honestly don't see why we want to stick with Conte after the sh*te he pulled when he didn't get what he wanted.

The rest of your post, I agree with.

I do think that some of his preferred options were unrealistic but I can't help but to feel sympathy for him because in my eyes he did everything in order to be fully supported or at least to the best possible degree.

He was asked about Salah:

"No, no. I have never spoken about Salah [with the club] because the situation was very, very clear. No-one asked me about him. If you put also this on me, I'm in trouble... Put that on the person who has to take the responsibility"...

Conte might not have been our ideal manager for the long term, specially since his record in Europe is pretty bad. Even so I think the club should have treated him better, I have a similar opinion when it comes to Ancelotti as well so I tend to be biased and on their side...

Tuchel is known for working with younger players so he might just be the person that we are in a huge need of at this point in time.

When we do well in November we usually win the league, it seems to be a horrible month for us other than that.

i thought that was true for december too... we do get some horrendous results in december.. even in the title winning team under JM2.. we gave up an 11 point lead to then get level on spurs by the end of december !

Yeah but that was our November really, considering we're a month behind in the league.

Barring Tuchel, I've never even heard of any of those other managers, I don't really pay much attention to a lot of football outside of the Premier League in truth.

Me neither. Just saw that stat when I did my research on Tuchel. Not sure how German media is taking this managerial merry-go-round in concerning their team but it seems this happens outside Chelsea and probably lot more these english pundits care to look for. In England it seems to be a Chelsea thing...

The club gave him a full second season though. That is a good treatment of him considering the tantrums and his whining. The thing with Salah, he could've taken him out of the loan and gave assurances to all parties involved but he chose Moses out of all the loanees. We won the league but allowed another potential superstar slipped our grasp again.

I am hoping Tuchel trusts the youths more! 6 hourse left till the match!

The club could never sack him after winning the league, that is nothing to do with good treatment from the board but everything to do with Conte's performance in his first season (Not sure how you can give the board credit for giving Conte a 2nd season after winning the league).

I am also unsure at the criticism of Conte for Salah, he was on a 18 month loan when Conte arrived, so he didn't use Moses over Salah as he had 12 months left on loan at Fiorentina and subsequently to Roma with an option to make the move permanent. These decisions were made prior to Conte being appointed as confirmed by Mourinho who has stated that it was a club decision to sell Salah and not his however he did confirm that he wanted Salah to go out on loan to improve the tactical side of his game.

Their is a lot of ammunition to use against Conte and his transfer dealings but Salah is certainly not one of them.

I am really curious what the tactical changes of Thomas Tuchel will look like against Mourinho.
Don't think he will stick to the 3 center backs because Spurs probably will only play with one striker without Harry Kane.
So I expect that Azpi will probably play a "real" right back and we will see only 2 center backs this time in a 4-2-3-1 like this

Mendy
Azpi, Thiago Silva, Rüdiger, Chilwell
Kovacic, Jorginho
Hudson-Odoi, Mount, Ziyech
Giroud (Werner)

Record against Premier League opposition

Tottenham
P2 W2 D0 L0 PPG 3

Manchester United
P4 W2 D0 L2 PPG 1.5

Liverpool
P4 W1 D1 L2 PPG 1

Against Tottenham Tuchel is used to win, so this will hopefully not change tonight.
Against Liverpool he has 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses, so he must improve this record.

Only 3 games in, good so far besides that Wolves game.

The best news right now is that we are creating chances again, the bad news is that our striking is absolutely w**k. Tuchel has a dilemma on his hands here, does he persist with Werner and hope he grows into the system and gains confidence? Or does he wrap it up now and play Giroud/Tammy there, (most likely Giroud)?

It's still early days, but what we are seeing is an experienced manager getting a bunch of good players to play together again quickly. He's picking players by merit and the system he wants to implement, and he got great eyes for details which is why we are seeing the imporvement in just a few games. He still got lots of work to do, but at least our defence is getting sorted, and the tempo and movement is a lot better than say 3-4 weeks ago.

Another good result and performance to build on.  Slowly instilling belief and confidence back into the side.  Nice to finally beat a top half team as well (outside West Ham), and even better it was Spurs on their turf.

Never thought at this stage on the season we still wouldn't see Havertz, Pulisic and Ziyech together, but clearly this isn't FIFA.  I'm sure in time that will happen, and know he'll work hard to improve decision making, chance creation and chance conversion in the final third.  Massive room for improvement here.

Great attitude and determination.  He also comes across very well in interviews - nice start Thomas!

Even the Wolves game wasn't bad.

We just lacked the finished product.

Good start, we are seeing a lot of positive changes. The biggest issue is our finishing but I’m pretty confident Tuchel will fix that, Werner is possibly in worst form of his life. When he gets back to normal I’m certain we’ll be devastating.

I’m more impressed with the team play than the results, I think Frank would have won the Wolves and Burnley game, and tonight probably.

Frank was really careful with Thiago Silva’s minutes and perhaps that’s why he’s been able to play regularly up to now, Tuchel started him in 3 games - 3 games in a week and two days.

I hope Tuchel learnt a lesson and be more careful next time.
