Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

Although I don't think this slow possession football suit our attacker but if TT want to play this way he need puli and cho. Because basically our offense consist of winger playing high and wide playing one on one.

That was one of the problem that I noticed against Soton. We had james and Werner constantly playing one on one and both are not one on one player.

Probably should have posted this in new thread but I just want to show that how we attack and it is quite similar because most team attack this way. Here I have three sets of different system, last season 433, this year 433 and 343 under Tuchel. All of them endup in 325 ish shape

Last seaso 433

This season 433

Tuchel 343

It has some element of danger speaking so openly about his team but I really like Tuchel saying what everyone is seeing inside games. Frank did it as well but Tuchel brings an element of tactics to his messages as well.

I believe in the way he talks about the team because I think he talks about the same stuff with the players as well.

Yes he’s saying the right things imo. Point about us failing to capitalise on Kante’s recoveries was of particular interest.

Seems like the type of coach who will talk to the players before saying anything like this in public. So I think most of what he says in public has already been communicated to the players clearly.

He's very meticulous in what he says seem very smart and intelligent with a great football brain. Also appears to be using a lot of psychology on the players.

Their were a couple of things which I was a little disappointed with from Tuchel, firstly the way CHO was treated & secondly the tactical changes whilst chasing the game against Southampton.

I feel as though CHO was called out due to him being a junior member of the squad, I can't see TT treating some of the more senior squad members in that way. I've watched quite a bit of PSG whilst TT was managing their and Neymar and Mbappe pretty much did what they wanted without TT questioning the intensity and dynamism of their play, go have a chat with the lad in private rather then embarrassing him in public.

From a tactical perspective I felt the natural change from a tactical perspective was to take one of the CB's out (Preferably Azpi) and bring on a CF with a switch to a 4-2-3-1, finishing the game with 3 CB's and no genuine CF whilst chasing the game felt a little questionable.

He does remind me of Jose in the way he deals with the press.

On Mendy who do you blame out of him and Dave on yesterday's goal? Cause for me both of them going for the same move and leaving an open goal was appalling.

Personally I think Mendy is being over hyped simply  because Kepa set the bar so very low.

Ultimately I think Mendy is a very good backup option, but we need a world class replacement for Kepa if we are going to be in consideration for the top trophies.

Peter Crouch has said the same thing today axman. Also said what he did to CHO (Jose tactic) is the ultimate humiliation for a player.

Did make me laugh though. He said Charlie Adam was subbed on and later taken off when they were at Stoke. From then on he was called "light switch" in the dressing room. 😄

Crouchy is a Chelsea lad too so is always fair when it comes to us.

Well if TT delivers half the success of Jose for us he has done great. Very different landscape now though.

Also he needs the players to drink the Koolaid. While they do things are often great, when they stop however...

I still can't understand that sub, it just makes no sense. CHO did well when he came on, played a part in getting the penalty etc. If he's pulled him because of his lack of defending then he has Zouma or Alonso to have a go at who we're both useless at times. If he's done this to make a point and show how tough he is to the squad then don't do it to a young player who has excelled out of position for him so far, that won't somehow get the rest of the squad to play better in my opinion.

Personally I didn't notice CHO having an "attitude " in the game, if he's going to pull players for  that then Zyich is gonna get pulled every game.

and I don't think CHO is the type of player to respond positively to a public humiliation.

very disappointed in our slow motion football, TT  needs to concentrate on that instead of picking on a youngster, who has generally played well so far this season

Frank said exactly the same thing after Duncan Ferguson's first game against us.

almost word for word, we all know it, how come we can't sort it out ?

Baffling

Frankly, I don't Ziyech has a place in TT's team.

Missed the game on Saturday but interesting that Ziyech did less on the pitch than CHO so does he have the same conversation with him. These next set of fixtures will definitely show what difference he  has made to the squad and his coaching.

I was just about to say something similar.

It just feels like we are on repeat. Tuchel is saying what needs to improve, just like Lampard did, but nothing really changed.

I remember people getting fed up with Lampard constantly going on about the attackers not taking their chances last season, I wonder how long it will take for the fans to get fed up with Tuchel repeating himself.

Exactly Gentlemen, the players are the main problem. TT may well improve us but I doubt he can to the level Roman wants because our players are vastly overrated by the club and by a few on here.

There's a very real possibility Pochettino is going to blow the title at PSG.

Looks like it's not so easy there after all.

He did alright against Barca though

Yup, the biggest difference here is Lampard only had 2 years in managerial career. Tuchel has done it at PSG and Dortmund.

He has to sort out the attack or he’ll be sacked. No excuse.
