Aston Villa v Chelsea (PL) Sun 23rd May 2021 16:00 GMT

We have enough days to make a proper recovery and keep the same lineup. Maybe give a rest to Kante because having him in the CL final will be more important.

A game like a final to us. 3 points for the top 4, a victory that will give us something from this season before the big game against City.

------------- Mendy ----------

-- Azpilicueta - Thiago Silva - Rudiger -

James -- Kovacic --- Jorginho --- Chilwell

------- Pulisic --- Werner --- Mount ----

Let's make it proper, COME ON CHELS!!!

I think we have to be favourites now between us, the scouse c**ts and the dirty cheating entitled c**ts we played tonight to get a top 4 spot, important to keep momentum and take it into the CL, especially seeing as city got done over by brighton after going 2-0 up

Keep the momentum going. Nothing is done yet unless burnley pull a victory over Liverpool.

We should win this at a stroll all things being equal, however, things are not always equal in football.

The only way we get a bad result is if TT f**ks up with team selection and tactics go out the window which has happened before.

Think we cannot afford to risk Kante with the CL final around the corner. Otherwise is basically a case of if the players are fit and not at extra risk of injury play our strongest side.

Though I do feel Tammy would get some join on a ground he had a good loan at.

Or VAR does what VAR does...

Pretty sure Tuchel will play the same 11 if they are match fit. We carry the same intensity as we had last night, we should smash them. Last night was a do a die game, and the next 2 games should be the same.

With a bit of luck - Burnley beat the dippers tonight and then v AV is a dead rubber for us and we can watch smugly from a position of guaranteed CL qualification as Leicester and dips fight it out for the last remaining CL place.

Should this be the case, then Kova needs to play, his passing, ball control, all round game really, was as awful last night, rusty as f**k, presumably through lack of playing time?  - the rest of the team should be a competitive make up of reserves with the main body of first 11 players being not selected or benched but not played unless injury demands.

However, if we need something from the AV game, then TT has to play a strong starting 11 - has to !

Either way, Kova has to play, he definitely needs the game time, but I have to say Jorginho and Kante are the starting pair for me in the CL final.

Grealish back, Villa in front of fans at home. I don't feel confident we win. At best we get a draw. Leicester will be at home vs Spurs and Spurs don't really have much to play for, so not expecting Spurs to help us. Liverpool aren't losing at home in front of their fans vs Palace. Burnley have nothing to play for and just got smashed by 0-4 vs Leeds. Liverpool got the bit between the teeth now too.

Liverpool will absolutely win that game in hand. Big teams usually win these crucial games. I predict we win Villa and Leicester drops behind Liverpool down to fifth to Europa where they belong.

What Leicester have on their side is an experienced gruop with a good manager. Liverpool is a world giant that has a brilliant squad with massive injuries this term and probably a big hangover after two perfect seasons.

Depending on what Liverpool do tonight it may be ok for us to rest a few key players while, equally importantly, getting minutes in to those who have not played a lot but could be crucial in sub roles a week Saturday.

So if by some means Burnley fluke a result.

Villa against spuds from behind to 2:1 and in complete control of the game. Grealish at his best lifting the team.

this will be very though for us to win.

cmon Burnley do us a f**kin favor

Afaiu Reguilon scored one and made one. We're only gonna score/make one goal for them, we won't do two. 🙂

Damm I didn't realise that.

Peacock Farrell has been absolutely shocking whenever I've seen him for either Burnley or Leeds.
