October 25, 20214 yr Chalobah looked shaky against Brentford. He didn't deal with Toney too well. For me he's behind Christensen and Azpi in that RCB role.

October 27, 20214 yr Good performance from him tonight. Little protection from Saul, none from Kova, a RWB who cannot defend, a LWB that did not want to, a RCB who wanted to always go forward and a LCB who was a deer in the headlights. Trev held us together. Good job that man.

Disagree, barring one moment he was very good against Brentford, especially during the closing 20 minutes when we were basically under siege. If we had signed him for £40m in the summer we would be more than happy with his contributions to date. The fact he's been promoted into the first team for nothing just makes his emergence fantastic.

Totally agree. He's playing amazingly well and has barely put a foot wrong.

Really hard to analyze that, but, as you say, hard to see anyone offering more than what he has so far, A boat load of clean sheets, two goals, and all round solid play. Its funny, I never worry when he is on the ball as technically he is very good for a defender, which is the opposite to how Zouma would make me feel.

October 30, 20214 yr Today was another reminder that our back three are all in their final year. Chalobah will get games, but we need to resign them all. 0 goals conceded from open play in 10 league games,- says it all. Edited October 30, 20214 yr by PhilH930

November 4, 20214 yr There we go, one of our defenders willing to commit his long term future :). hopefully Colwill follows suit and gives us at least 2 for next season. Edit: nevermind he signed a new 4 year deal in summer so we are good there. Edited November 4, 20214 yr by axman2526
November 5, 20214 yr amazing news - in another post i had said not convinced about Kounde personally.. i think this signals end of our interest in Kounde.. I believe AC will sign a new deal.. and so will Rudi. If TT is here i am sure Rudi will sign.

Players of that age don't run their contracts down unless they have something else lined up.
November 5, 20214 yr We have several CB's who are hitting the end of their contracts so it's really important to lock Trevoh up. I imagine Tuchel is probably going to lean on him heavily in the '22/'23 season.
November 5, 20214 yr TT built a defence that is really superb out of the evergreen Silva, the once considered too undisciplined Toni Rudiger and the also once considered too nervous AC. Hopefully he can find the right player long term to bring the very best out of Trev and Levi Colwill.

I wonder how Ampadu's doing as well, he got loaned to some Serie A team but haven't heard much from him since

Lamps did when there were rumors of him joining inter.. yes we could lose both but i think more and more players are waiting to check the market and negotiate with their current club.. From the noise i think AC is pretty much done.. lets see on AR.
November 6, 20214 yr Great to have signed him up on a long-term deal. Makes it extra special he's another academy product that's doing well under Tuchel.
