Mason Mount is pretty weak on penalties isn't he? Jorginho and Lukaku must be the first takers.

Mount's finishing technique is actually pretty average. He seems to just hit them. They are rarely too far away out of reach of the goalkeeper unless he is hitting them wide. There are times where I wish he would just relax with his shooting instead of rushing it. I feel like it's something he picked up playing in the Championship where everything is played at constant high tempo.

Into the quarters, not our most fluent performance

Kepa zero to hero… he made some excellent saves in the 90 too. Just has a mistake in him

Chalobah looked assured , he could be the real deal

Better game from Havertz…though why no penalty?

Promote Reece to deputy penalty taker

December just got more hectic… we are though in it to win it . Trophies r us

Through but we were pretty poor for the 90mins. Saul was ok considering he hasn’t featured much

mason needs to work on his penalties just doesn’t seem to really be a strong point for him.

Uncannily similar fixture to the last round vs Villa, same kind of line up , same kind of flat performance, same score, and the same pen heroes - Kepa & Reecey. In saying all of that as next round is the Qtrs hopefully TT takes it a bit more seriously. And at least we will see Saul again one time this season.

Aye, our fullbacks have better technique than him. Must be a habit of his

I think because Havertz missed his penalty in the last round. We dont want to mess with our only Strikers ego/confidence

Another win in the penalty cup for us. Well done Kepa.

Mount has to be taken off pens, Werner was when he sh*t the bed on them.

Some players have the nerve for it, some don't. Mount does not. Poor pen had us knocked out at Spurs last season, poor pen on Saturday and lucky his second effort went in, poor pen today.

Not a good performance but happy thr reserves will get another game.

Then your screams of agony will help the atmosphere, so selfish! It definitely picked up in the second half.

Congrats to @Munkworth , who is probably the happiest of all Chelsea fans in the world right now.

I’d have preferred another 7-0 but I’ll take it…

I think Mount just cant or will not score against his beloved Saints, lol

Mount is crap at penalties. Saul has a good shot but didn’t do much else. Sarr is ok but only ok. Not enough pace in the team or up front.

Good to see Saul improving, unlucky not to get a goal.

Mount should never get near our penalties again.

Not sold on Sarr yet.

I still don't know what Kai’s best position is, is he even that good?

Tuchel needs to stop wasting CHO’s time by putting him at RWB, he looks so much better at LW.

Not a particularly good game, but to be expected after playing mainly the second string, still find a way to win it via the slightest margin. The likes of Sarr, Barley, Saul aren't going to make it at Chelsea, so it's nice for them to have a game. Kepa made a mess out of the goal, but did make some good saves and a penalty, so it's a 7/10. Still not putting away those chances, but their GK had a great game. Ziyech is being his usual self, Chiwell is like another AM, Havertz scored one but should have done more. No complains, if we win this cup by penalty every game, so be it.
