An absolute diamond. We have been lucky to have him these past few seasons. He'd be in my all-time Chelsea XI alongside JT.

That Igor bloke is confirmed so maybe they cool their interest with Colwill

Fofana is an option for next season when Silva bows out. And Disasi will get his chance to take that spot from Fofana. 

Colwill is going to get his chance to cement his place. Badiashille will get games and if he's unhappy at being number 2 in the event Colwill kicks on then we will get a good price for him and can promote Bashir.

Great news if/when he signs. Everything is set for him to take over as a starting CD, if he's up for it. If he's not, at least we have some bargaining power for the sell.

My guess is Disasi will play most of the big games this season. You don't bring a french international who played in the world cup final in as backup. He seems to have been largely injury free as well. So I think it will be Disasi and one of Colwill/Badiashile probably Colwill to start with. Silva will slip into the reserve role for which he was originally targeted.

37 but those pre-season squad numbers are not finalised.

He wears the number 4 for England u21’s and had the number 6 at Brighton.

And tbh, there should have never been a call to Terry from Koulibaly, should have stayed retired like number 25.

Colwill, Silva, Badiashile, Disasi and Fofana. 2 of them are injured atm. Badiashile should be available in a month or so. 

Why do I still dread the sight of Cucurella's hair in this mix. We have all these big names and that hair keeps bopping the backline. 

Colwill has massive potential, but you need to remember he was a backup for Brighton last season... not a starter, not a key player. Not winning any leagues for you this season.
But if you're patient (for once), this could turn out to be the best deal you've done all summer.

He wasn't a backup by the end though. He was a key player and Brighton fans have been desperate to make the loan permanent.

Compared to the likes of City, United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal, we have been more patient and given more chances to our youth players than they have.
