August 8, 20232 yr Took the number 26 shirt for the season. So he either ends up the next Terry or the next KK. Fingers crossed!
August 13, 20232 yr Very, shaky first half. Struggled with Salah's movement particularly when cutting inside. Made some basic errors. Much better second half. All part of the learning curve for him.

All part of the learning curve for him. I don't think he did too badly in the first half. Sure it wasn't great, but he was pretty isolated against the best winger in the league. He did ok regarding that I think. Also was quality on the ball throughout.

August 15, 20232 yr Mo Salah has scored on the opening day of each of the last six Premier League seasons. On the seventh, there was Levi Colwill.

Unrelated Sydney, but what's your opinion on Postecoglou? Haven't heard of him until recently but based off the little I've seen on how he conducts himself, seems a class act. It's too bad he ended up at Tottenham.

Look, I'm a Sydney FC and Chelsea fan, so you aren't going to get an unbiased opinion from me about someone who has coached Melbourne Victory and Tottenham. He's a good coach with big asterisks on his record. His crowning achievement still remains the creation of one of the best A-League teams of all time, with very little resources. His Brisbane team was utterly dominant, albeit for just a season or two. He couldn't replicate his success at Melbourne, despite much better resources, although he was tasked with a Pochettino-style rebuild of a broken club. He was successful in Japan but backed by the limitless resources of City Football Group, and his success as Celtic was fantastic but again, asterisked because of Rangers' regression leaving no real competition in Scotland. Postecogolou has proven he can turn an underperforming team into a winning outfit, but he'll need time. Celtic is the closest he's come to instant success. He does get teams playing high-energy, effective attacking football and they will always score goals. I think he'll win a trophy with Spurs, but I can't see their board giving him the requisite patience to be truly successful.

I watched spurs and Brentford and kulu n son were pretty much useless the whole game because they were stuck getting the ball on the sideline.

August 31, 20232 yr Its possible to have just a little knock? I’m so mentally scarred by the last seasons I automatically assume at least six months out every time there is the sligthest hint of uncomfort for one of our players
October 3, 20232 yr So happy with his development. Mostly playing out of the position and showing a good progress tactically. He's very strong and his technique is great for a ball playing defender. Great assist to Mudryk yesterday.
October 3, 20232 yr That cross to Mudryk was better than any cross I've seen from Chilwell in years! What a ball.

Was excellent once again last night, that pass for the goal was inch perfect, an outstanding assist.
