However I will ask, as someone who did not watch the match but read through the match thread it seems a lot of you guys on there were killing our defenders especially for their set price work. So are Levi and Wes too small a pairing to deal with set pieces?

August 26, 20241 yr I think with him a lot of fans are missing the point.. his passes into Neto and Enzo during the second half were line breaking .. you play Colwill because he can defend decent but has an amazing left foot .. you play a Fofana for he can be strong defender with pace and power.. on the goals there is nothing much that they could have done.. the first one Moi got his pocket picked and was really scrappy before it fell to cunha.. at this point the goalie should have rushed out rather than staying on the goal line.. the second one was again Moi letting his runner pass through and once it gets played into the box nothing anyone can do.
August 26, 20241 yr A confidence boosting performance. Would love to see where this partnership is in 6 months time if Wes and Levi can stay fit.
August 28, 20241 yr Rewatching the match with a clear head and his passing out the back was elite. Probably explains why Gusto was inverting instead of Cucurella as it gave Colwill the angles to do said passing to the maximum (and not have him exposed out wide as much). Oh, and on another note Colwill last season vs this season so far, Poch 🤦🤦 Edited August 28, 20241 yr by Argo

Whilst it went under the radar for me it was one of his most composed performances with a varied range of excellent distribution.
September 14, 20241 yr Played the Thiago Silva role today. The only one keeping his head whilst he watches his entire defence crumble around him.
September 14, 20241 yr Excellent performance finally showing that potential Tosin and fofana (bar that error) looks good too
September 17, 20241 yr Hopefully he becomes a leader for us, you know it makes so much sense, especially with that 26 shirt number.

September 17, 20241 yr Who would have thought playing a CB as a CB and not a touchline LB would have seen instant improvement?

To be fair, it did make sense at the time with Chiwell and Cucu looking lost. We still had Silva, Badi and Disassi weren't completely useless yet. He ended the season playing more games at CB than LB so it was more down to circumstances rather than him not knowing he was better at CB.

Similar to Jackson last season, Colwill struggled against physical play. He was 20. As season went on you can tell both got stronger.
