FIFA and UEFA are doing their best to relegate us from the headlines completely ...

Now apparently they have announced that Russia can complete their World Cup Qualifying fixtures as "The Football Union of Russia" with no flag, and in neutral stadiums.

What a load of gutless w**kers. How on earth so they think that will wash with Sweden, Poland and the Czech Republic ?

All International teams should  just boycott the Qatar World Cup. Teach FIFA the lesson they clearly need ...

they did the same for the Olympics with the doping

Missed big chances to win it during the 90 minutes.

Gutted but proud of the performance, these things happen with penalties.

Really good match where someone had to lose eventually.

The Club World Cup was the main trophy I wanted this season to complete the set.

Oh well, onto the next one, we’ll be back because we’re Chelsea!

Disappointing to lose but not overly concerned. Played pretty well which bodes well for the rest of the season. Liverpool probably got the rub of the green with some decisions it looks like, but we had so many to win this that I don’t have too many complainants.

At least the team actually showed up for this unlike arsenal/Leicester finals. Wouldn’t be surprised if we play them later on in the CL.

We have always look good offensively against good team.

Our problem is against team who sit deep and does not want to play.

No, our problem is the players don’t know how to finish their dinner.

We cut through Liverpool many times today but couldn’t finish onside.

Brilliant game, a great distraction from all the sh*t that is going on in the world, and a credit to the sport.

Of course a shame we didnt win.

- We can point to the 2 red cards that Keita should have had

- the offside that never was for Roms goal

- the misses from Mount x2 and Pulisic

But then, on the flip side we were saved by VAR and a couple of worldies from Mendy.

I am left feeling proud of the boys, arguably deserving the win against the media darlings.

I am also left frustrated....why cant we play this good against the like of Wycombe, Al Hilal (or whatever they were called) etc etc....

Yeah I said in the other forum once, that THIS season the main trophies we should be aiming for are the CWC and Super Cup (because I never seen Chelsea held it in my lifetime)

Proud to see all of the cups held during my lifetime.

But I’ll be honest - it’s getting to that point that we need to regain our hands on that PL.

Gutted.

I don’t think we played badly and certainly had the chances.

Mendy had a great game.

I’ll be able to properly analysis it later.

Gutted.

Same sh*t, different day.

After spending a smal fortune on attacking players we still can't score from an open play. I hate to single out anyone today but Mount reallly needs to do a whole lot better. He does a lot of things well and has the right attitude but you'll never reach top level as a player when you can't finish these type of chances. People talk about Kepa, but it only came down to penalties because once again, we were toothless in front of goal.

All that effort and nothing to show for it in the end. I'm fuming.

Absolutely gutted but it is what it is. Of course the media will have a field day with Kepa coming on but they called the exact same move a master stroke when we did it in the Super Cup

Remember Liverpool has like 3 top scorers in the league and we kept them all silent, take the positives because we went toe to toe with one of the hardest teams to play against.

Great game that we gave the scum. We lost in penalties but should have beaten them in 90 minutes if not for two sitters missed. Also, the goal in extra time was not offside, but that’s the thing, they never show in the stadium the var play. Still, annoying to watch the vermin win and having some of those benefits claiming c**ts in our stand made it worse.
Next Luton, hopefully we play this well.

He proud of our performance

Yes indeed the team should be proud. I just can’t stand those scumbags so sometimes my emotions get the better of me because I have nothing but complete disdain and contempt for those bastards

The defence and Mendy have been immense like they have majority of the season. So it’s no surprise.

I’m worried about this summer because while we need to pay attention to our attackers and selling the useless ones including Lukaku…

We also have to worry about our defence. Alonso HAS to go and be replaced, while we are struggling to keep Rudiger and Christensen.

I know this is off-topic but if we are going to turn these losses to wins over Liverpool and City these stuff MUST happen.

we played well, we looked dangerous and quick in transition

Mendy had another great game

Liverpool got away with this one because we weren't ruthless enough

And the Lukaku offside decision is unbelievable, i never believe that was offside

It's the Olympics all over again. FIFA and UEFA are biggest cowards in sport when it comes to this kind of thing. I see it in pretty much every qualfying round for the European Championships and World Cup. There is a report of racism, that team gets a fine and a game played behind closed doors. Same punishment every time and it has no effect.

As for the Qatar world cup, I'm disgusted that footballers, coaches, basically everybody in the game are just going along with it. We have seen them take the knee against discrimination for nearly 2 years now, that means f**k all if they are aren't going to back it up when it really matters. If they truly feel that we need to end discrimination in the game, then back it up by rejecting the Qatar world cup. They have the power here, not FIFA. What are FIFA going to do? ban them all? Good luck hosting a world cup without your biggest names, nobody would watch it. The Qatar world cup was announced 12 years ago this year, 12 years and we haven't seen a single protest from anybody in the game. So do they really care? or is all of this anti-discrimation stuff just grandstanding?

Chelsea only do international trophies now, we boycott english ones.

Proud of the performance, it wasn't even close. They had one good chance and Mendy saved it. It looks like our form is coming back now so at least we can acutally enjoy watching us for the rest of the season instead of it being a chore.

Jimmy must be feeling very outnumbered by this Liverpool tv coverage. Can’t even say Thiago silva is slightly better on the ball than van dijk without being shouted down.

Turn it off bud, not worth putting yourself through it.

Tammy got the winning goal for Roma today, to add insult to injury !

Tammy when he was here wasn’t great either, let’s be real. But if I knew we were going to sell him for Lukaku, I wish I told the board to NOT GO AHEAD with that plan.
