Much prefer this option to Kounde and it appears to be picking up pace from more credible sources

Kouli will play as lcb

This can be a very good signing. He will be our main lcb and silva main backup. He is not exactly young so he won't block colwill at all.

But Napoli is a hard team to negotiate with.

Yes they are, but with one year left on his deal they probably will be a bit more willing.

Hopefully so.

I am just not confident with dealing with Napoli. It will be a long negotiation process. I remember Sarri + jorgi was a mess and we even ended up outbidding city 😱😱

I'd be happy with our CB options as Koulibaly, Ake, Silva, Colwill and Chalobah

Seems a bit short if we are sticking to a back 3. We'd need another one in my opinion if Azpi leaves.

That's fine especially if James will play there when required.

6 in 3 positions will always leave one player short of minutes, 5 with number 6 being emergency cover from another area is the best sweetspot in that regard.

I think we're fine even if we stick to a back 3, as Argo mentioned if need be we can play James as a RWB. We're essentially just replacing leavers from last season:

Rudiger, Christensen and Azpi out

Koulibaly, Ake and Colwill in

We definitely need cover at RWB though if Dave leaves, I'm not at all convinced that CHO should be our back up option

We most certainly do. Want't there a link / rumour to some German guy or young talent from the Bundesliga a while ago? Would be enough imho and could be already in the bag but waiting to be anounced after Sterling got presented. Todd wouldn't his very first signing being some unknown prospect nobody heard of before - even if the signing makes 100% sense.

I think it’s probably been going on already for over a month, the negotiations.

The 3 ins there are left sided defenders. The outs are one left sided center back, one middle to right center back and one right sided defender. Is not a balanced swap over.

Barcelona are interested in every one of our targets, and our players. It's quite annoying.

Obviously because we're the next cheapest. It's not a hard bar for them to reach. No way did they even look at anyone the scousers we're interested in.

All prefer to play on the left.

& apparently €40m fee for a 31yr old player with 1yr left. But hey Tuchel wants him.

Not against signing him at all. But crazy we are selling Azpi for 3m and having to pay 40m for KK. Basically same age?!

I would be amazed if we signed Koulibaily. We can't get players to sign who the clubs they are at don't want any more and they say they want to join us. What chance have we possibly got of getting someone out of Napoli.

Massively underwhelmed with this embarrassing window tbh. It seems to me to really have shown us up as to where our standing is in european football. We are gradually working through the list of all CB's none of which seem to end up joining. Players are signing for other clubs, agreeing terms, flying over for medicals, signing and going off on tour all the time whilst that sh*t Football.London website links us to some glittering fantastic player that Chelsea inch nearer to signing. What a load of old bollocks.

If the roles had bene reversed no way would Marina have pushed TB out the door. Nah, she woudl have let him have the window and get the deals done, then she would have fcked him off. This guy has bombed her off and then waded into a market he knows nothing about. Bl00dy awful.

I still haven't seen Sterling holding the shirt aloft with a cheesy grin yet. Is this actually done yet. have we actually signed a single player yet

That's a bit harsh.

Keep in mind there's a lot of pages in the 2022 Panini World Cup album and Todd only has three darts.
