In what way are they ruining the club? Imagine blaming Boehly and Co for the sh*t we've been left in by the previous ownership who left this squad to weaken.

The club was a stable top 4 club that won the CL not so long ago and the squad has several younger prospects from the academy as well. What are the new owners doing with the club if they are fine with us being top 10 as soon as they took over?

f**k off with that attitude

chelsea is a big club, not f**king Bury or macclesfield town, there are bunch of potential buyers want to buy us including Saudi owners which would be miles better than this clueless fraud

Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh. Where were these buyers willing to throw all those billions at the club? Saying Saudis would be better owners is mental. You've no idea if they would have.

Some of our fans are so entitled it's ridiculous. The club needs to go through a massive transition, that doesn't happen overnight. With or without Potter or Boehly we would still have had to go through a massive transition. There are no certainties.

This goes further back. To think it doesn't is naive. It's the same stuff that keeps getting repeated.

Boehly wanted to do the same. And?

Chelsea is one of the most profitable sports franchises in the world. Abramovich had us set for life , not only increasing our value a 1000 fold but wiping away our debt. This isn't 2003. We were always going to be bought by some rich billionaire person or firm the moment Roman stepped aside.

Sacking Tuchel will go down as one of the most embarrassing decisions in Premier league history.

Young, loved by the fans, one of the best managers in the world, not an asshole like Mourinho or Conte. Feared by Guardiola.

And you sack him for this useless sack of sh*t? Incomprehisible, arrogant, absurd, asinine and stupendously disastrous decision.

The new owners look far worse so far, starting from their chosen manager for their project to how they embarrassed the club with Enzo Fernandez this January.

I can't even make the comparison to Roman cause it wouldn't even be fair towards them but can the new owners do a better job than the Newcastle new owners or is Newcastle going to be in a better position than us in 2 years despite the fact of us having a huge starting advantage?

The sad part is if we're not successful Boehly's ambition will probably fade and he'll just milk the club for money, like how we feared the other American owners might do.

Scary thing is we're currently number 10 but trending DOWNWARDS and every other player is nursing an injury.

That's another problem. WTF is our medical staff doing.

Indeed.

The transition was already well under way when Lampard took over, which then went and won a Champions League and got us 2 consecutive top 4 finishes with Tuchel in charge. Boehly and co have come in, ripped it all up, thrown a bang average coach like Potter in and have somehow convinced a lot of fans that we were a mess of a club and we need to start over.

The only transition we are seeing now is a transition from a team that competes with the best, to a team that can't even register a worthwhile shot on goal!

Doesnt look like the dressing room are with him. Tactically we look so unorganised.

It would be some turnaround if Potter can fix this.

I don't think he will. I believe he has lost the dressing room. These big ego players are not working with him and unless Todd wants to replace near the whole side he will have to accept this.

The fans don't have to though.

Performances like today certainly don’t do Potter any favours. We put in a decent shift against City’s first team in the week and I was ok with the performance despite losing. Today on the other hand was totally unacceptable and embarrassing, even more so when you consider that was City’s B/C team today.

I want Potter to succeed here, I really do. But if this is something for the “long term” then we still need to see something in the short term to make us think it will be worth it in the long term. Me personally I’d see how we fare once our injured players return and if we still under perform then I think he will be in trouble.

Another point worth mentioning is when the match going fans start to turn then very rarely does that get turned around. They were singing for Tuchel today, which doesn’t help because regardless of what happens he’s not coming back, but it clearly shows that  the 3000 odd that went up there are less than happy with what they saw.

We have on paper an encouraging run of fixtures coming up. If we don’t pick up wins in that run then I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the board make a decision at that point.

If we do end up sacking him I don’t know where we turn from here. Pochettino maybe but I don’t think he improves these players over night.

The same pressure would have been put on Tuchel. We started the season terribly. He also fell out with Lukaku, striker that the board spent £100m on and he was speaking highly of, The start of the season people were saying that things were poor after we lost to Southampton and were thrashed by Leeds away. I saw comments doubting Tuchel, it's just that so many of a fanbase are fickle and will turn on the manager at any opportunity, yet refuse to take things into context with injuries and loss of important players in summer and low quality players throughout the squad. It's nowhere near as black and white as people make it seem. Tuchel struggled domestically too so what is the certainty that Tuchel would have done any better than Potter at this point in the season, in the same situation with injuries? I remember clearly that when results weren't going our way Tuchel was complaining about injuries etc, so I think people are being too emotional and not using enough logic .

I think people on here seriously need to get a grip and stop overreacting. Just look at the bigger picture.

At least the manager is English!

You joke but I reckon they'll be actually serious posts like this next season when we're stuck with Rice and Enzo is smashing it at Liverpool or United.

If Potter really believes he is doing his best, he needs to resign to retain any respectability.

The longer he has us playing like this, no shots, no goals, no effort, getting humiliated often, he will do real damage to his career.

Compared to holding his hands up and saying yup not good enough, I go. We arrange a small pay off as thank you for doing so.

But 60mill is plenty to retire on.

I think people are being too harsh on Potter. This is not his squad, he didn't even have a preseason and has a ridiculous list of injuries to deal with.

Does anyone really think Tuchel would have gotten a win against this City side given our current problems? He may have organized us better and the score would have been more respectable but we'd have lost anyway.

We're witnessing consequences of a poor transfer business dealings over the last few years , forced change of club ownership last season, sacking of a previous manager early in the season and absence of a proper personnel to handle the transition due to the timing of the takeover. The club went through hell over the last year or so and the consequences will be felt for some time still.

Let Potter get rid of the deadwood, bring in the players he wants and give him time to build. It's not going to happen fast, but what's the alternative at this point? We need to be patient.
