Graham's doing much better on goals conceded per game ... here you go :

No surprise that Jose Mk 1 is top of the pack. That first season of his with 15 goals conceded is still my favourite Chelsea record !

If this doesn't highlight how bland this guy is. 25 matches, 25 goals for and 24 against. Christ ZZzzzzzz

🚨 Multiple reliable, well-connected sources have told us that sections of Chelsea’s dressing room are “disinterested” in life under Graham Potter.

They also revealed that some players are particularly disinterested in team meetings held by Potter.

Sources revealed that some players are particularly disinterested in team meetings held by Graham Potter. It is felt by players that there is not much togetherness within the the team, there is a feeling amongst some that the team is now a bunch of individuals rather than a unified collective. The term “individuals not a team” came up from one source.

When asked about player’s appearing to be constantly smiling in revealed training pictures, sources hinted that player’s are enjoying playing in certain groups and mini games but when it comes to the behind scenes work ahead of the game, some are taking in information with one ear and letting it go out the other.

Sources revealed that there is a handful of players who genuinely still miss Thomas Tuchel whilst others have questioned to others privately why a proven, world class manager did not arrive following his departure.

The disconnect within the team is evident as some players are also known to be fans of Graham Potter and are optimistic for what the future could hold.

Sources said that the difference of opinion in the camp, alongside the many new signings are contributing to the factor of the feeling “individuals not a team”.

Many players want to leave in the summer and it is thought that Todd Boehly and co will not hold back with player’s who express a desire to move on.

This is a problem in any company that has so much change over a short period. Existing staff can become disconnected resulting in becoming disinterested and ultimately choose that it is time to move on themselves. Getting rid of the likes of Cech will only have added to the disconnect. Until we get an identity back I wouldn’t expect a strong team to emerge.

With Scolari I recall players saying they weren't fit enough.  A lot of players liked him but there were concerns that he had no idea what was needed fitness wise for a club team in the Premier league as he was used to managing Brazil and Portugal where player fitness was with their club sides...

I'm always skeptical about how trustworthy these 'sources' are.  I mean are there really multiple people presumably involved in an indepth level with the club with unfiltered access to players, who also happen to be reporting the ongoing to media.  If there are then what's their agenda?

I don't doubt there are unhappy players in the dressing room.  There are 30+ off them after all.  Is the average playing squad not 23/24?  Potter widely said it would be difficult to keep them all happy, anyone would struggle with that.  It's also common for squads to have rifts, infact I'd struggle to name a squad that didn't have a rift of some sort at any given time.

The real question is are the core 20 players (those with a future or who'd like a future at the club) downing tools.  I don't think they are.

As bad as we have been I don't think it's due to lack of effort.  Our defensive and closing down stats support this.

If we truly down tools, like has happened in the past then I'd expect immediate change.  Just now though we aren't getting Europe and we aren't  going down.  We don't really have anything to lose giving him until the end of the season.

Who knows we might go on a 10 match winning streak and end up 5/6th.

Always have to wonder how true these things are. However if true does once more show several players let ther egos get the better of them and don't put the club and fans that pay their wages in consideration and just act like spoiled brats.

The disinterest goes as far as players walking up for warm ups. Seen more energy in a cemetery.

Mount was literally videotaped saying "the love isn't there" going out to warmups v Southampton.
Chilwell complained the dressing room is completely flat.

The players are obviously not playing for him anymore. Yet we've had about a million PR-pieces from Matt Law and The Telegraph basically saying "forget the fans Graham, you have our long-term support no matter what" directly from the board.

It's a disgrace what's happening. I'd love a massive reaction/backlash from the fans against Leeds in a couple of weeks.

Why on earth is he getting this much support from Boehly? It's pretty clear to everyone outside the board that Potter is out of his depth

If this is accurate I don't get why Potter is continuing to play these disinterested characters. He should completely ice out anyone who isn't interested in giving their all and focus on the people that actually are willing to listen to him. Arteta and Ten Hag iced out their 'troublemakers' and eventually sold them and now they are reaping the rewards.

I am not going to name him, because he does not deserve the mention, but a certain prominent Chelsea fan youtuber today released a long video where he respectfully offers his condolences for Christian Atsu passing.

This is followed later on in the video with the usual Potter shaming, pointing out how it is Potters fault only Dave showed any motivation shouting "come on lads" to the other 10 vs Saints as they came out ambling from the tunnel with sour faces.

How he does not blame them for not putting in the effort due to having Potter as a manager.

Are you kidding me? You start your video on a tragic passing of someone who lost their life and can no longer play the game, who's family has lost them, but you defend a bunch of over paid, pampered players going out and embarrassing themselves, disrespecting him, his memory not to mention our fans, and that is ALL POTTERS FAULT?! That they were within there rights to do that because he is a bad coach, in your opinion? That they could not just be grateful to still be alive to have the lives they are blessed with? Shesh.

With fans like that.

If some of the players aren't playing for the team, why are we directing our anger at the owners though? Shouldn't we be directing our anger at some of these overpaid players? They are being paid hundreds of thousands of pounds a week they have no excuse to say sh*t like "the love isnt there".

I remember that " sources" revealed that TT lost the changing room. You can find out everything from " sources"

Apparently TT's private life led to loss of respect from players.

I find that hard to believe too.

Anyway if they ain't interested , I don't care,  f**k em, play for the shirt, the club and the fans

🚨 Source pointed out it’s common for clubs to include termination clauses in contracts, they reject the idea that Potter hasn’t been sacked because of the money it would cost. (@Matt_Law_DT)

I mentioned this before there is no way there isn’t a termination clause even i have one in my contract most people do and with these sums of money there is chance the club doesn’t pay much in compensation.

Been listening to some non Chelsea podcasts after the weekend and most of them are pro-Potter. Barely any criticism. True media darling.

Not saying this is true but it’s believable from what I have seen no fight no desire.

I have seen this in my role loads on new joiners on more money and tenured staff becomes disinterested and quiet quit. The difference in a football club is more obvious to see.

If you see Chelsea going out of business one minute and cheered now to see Chelsea spending and a threat to your team but realise they have a mid table manager you would be pro Potter too.

Cheers for posting the Telegraph comments JM7.  Saves me trying to navigate past their paywall LOL.

Certainly an interesting set of observations from the ownership ...

On face value, it does look like Potter's getting at least until Xmas as an absolute minimum.

Let's hope Boehly and Eghbali's faith is rewarded, and that all the training ground work being mentioned finally starts to become evident in matches.

I think Matt Law was given a backhander to write some of that bullsh*t.  I don't think anyone doubted that the club needed an overall, on the pitch and behind the scenes; the hiring, firing, spunking millions on lost causes could not continue infinitum regardless of how rich our benefactor was.  OK so Tommy T pissed the new owners off and he was out the door...as any CEO would do if they have a loose cannon in their team.  And no fan, I don't think, doesn't understand that any project, especially the size of this one would not come with a few ups and downs, even if the chosen management team are vastly experienced and knowledgeable.  But the choice of the team manager was crucial to the long term success. I am still mystified as to why they choose Potter, especially when they were prepared to pay a handsome sum for a 'project' manager; they could have gone to most any football club and offered them a boat load of cash for their manager.  He'd never won anything, he was considered a decent manager I suppose, but he was managing a mid-table team who were bang average as teams go. What stats were they looking at that made him the choice? because clearly he hasn't got the experience at such a monster club, or playing in European football, let alone dining at the top table of the EPL.

He's never struck me as one for getting angry or theatrical on the touchline anyway, unlike the current Gooner manager, so if that is all the fans care about then because Jose did it, Conte did it, TT did it, then that's a pretty sad statement about their knowledge of football.  I haven't seen anything in the 6 months he's been here to suggest that he organize a piss up at a brewery, let alone 11 internationals; his game management and team selection is a mystery and whether Matt Law is defending him re the advice of the medical team and he was taking one for the team I don't about that given the other 20+ players he could chose from who should have easily beaten Southampton had they been prepared and the manager tactically aware.

I guess if he's here to stay till at least next Christmas regardless of the results, all in the hope that all the pieces will fall into place eventually then good luck to Boehly and his team, because if he's looking at the Man City model and comparing Pep to Potter then he really is clueless and deserve everything that happens from here on out.

The fat Spanish waiter has a surprisingly underrated record to be fair, especially when you consider that he had no pre-season, Fernando Torres up front and that he went on to win the Europa League as well.
