If they want a data-driven approach. Look at those stats that were posted. Literally bottom of nearly everything. Maybe their analysts can work out what that means.

I work with stats daily; You can have stats say anything you want them to if you put a spin on it. Even negative, you can always put a positive spin or plausible reason why the numbers are as they are.

I'd love to be wrong but everything points to JT being an awful manager.

I was just thinking how do you get this bunch of players up for a game and getting everyone back onside on and off the pitch. Similar to what Big Duncan Fu++er did with Everton. I simply have no idea how a these players can't get motivated to score a goal. Surely someone wants to finish club top scorer. Think we're stuck between a rock and hard place with potter and we're all going to have to suck this up until he goes or turns us into the Fulham Road globetrotters... No idea  who that team is other than would make a good MLS franchise.

maybe he'll get his 2 weeks 😊

Can only hope.

Looking at the stats some have posted it’s ridiculous. Not to mention the money spent too.

Throughout all the worst times we have had during the 25 years, I’ve supported this club I’ve always hoped for a win every single game. I’m not actually thinking how bad would it be getting thumped by the Spuds if it means Potter would be gone. I feel terrible for even thinking this way, feel almost like giving myself a slap…. But there is a reason……or so my gut is telling me.

Probably a post that won’t go down well, but this is not a conscious thought I’m feeling

If some of the players aren't playing for the team, why are we directing our anger at the owners though? Shouldn't we be directing our anger at some of these overpaid players? They are being paid hundreds of thousands of pounds a week they have no excuse to say sh*t like "the love isnt there".

It would be Chelsea FC to finally deal with player power properly when it's for the sh*ttest gaffer we've had at the club.

Happens to the best of us...even us veterans who have had to endure since the late 60's in my case.  We may well get stuffed by Spurs on the weekend but you never know, we just might take a point off a very inconsistent Spurs side..even it is a 0-0, but it won't be down to Potter if we do manage to get anything out of the game, it will be because its Spurs.

The worse part for me is the lack of light at the end of the tunnel, with Roman he got it tight from the press for his firing strategy, but as a fan you knew when things were bad it would be over soon enough and the light was there to see.

But the backing from the new owners is what’s making me really uncomfortable, like mediocrity is ok, bad results are ok, will provide years of support, massive managerial contracts on huge pay, but it’s ok if you’re sh*t. What is this? What the f**k. When paying this amount for players and managers the pressure should always be there. It’s the pressure that ultimately gets the results along with a team bond and harmony.

We have nothing, we have no soul. It’s gone

Tuchel train has left the station, for anyone still holding on to a slither of hope. Fair play to PSG higher ups admiting to their mistake. Would love Messi to stay at PSG for another season if he does go there, can you imagine the team TT could build around Messi and Mbappe (+Neymar).

Regarding our situation I think it just brings it home that elite teams appoint elite coaches it's the only sure way to remain elite. If you do hire a coach who isn't elite (i.e Christophe Galtier), accepting when to move them on and choosing a coach of the right standing in the game is essential.

Tuchel was obviously going through a rough time with personal issues and all the stress of everything going on at Chelsea. He seems to have relaxed a lot on his time off. I'd love to have him back, if he was open to it and the board were open to starting fresh. But it's very unlikely to happen.

It's not too late, Boehly is known for his hijacks

If this board wanted to pull the rug from under the feet of the growing descent in the fan based this would be an instant W, an instant 360 from the fans.

If Tuchel had the likes of Enzo, Joao Felix and Mudryk we'd be contenders for every trophy available

The fact that these players get 2 days off after that defeat is just frustrating for me. Are they off for singing lessons or something?

Ten Haag had the Utd players run the distance the Brentford players outran them by the very next day after the Brentford defeat and he himself joined in because he knew he was responsible.

Got to keep them players happy right? They have video game tournaments and late night parties to sleep off.

Or they use that time to work on their own fitness and maintenance, like Silva did.

It's also pretty telling that Brighton isn't any worse off since Potter left. If he was really that good you would expect them to fall apart after the manager is gone. Boehly just has to accept that he made a mistake and cut his losses. If Potter is allowed to continue this season is going to end up being a total desaster.

or.....

the team Potter built at Brighton was left in a good state, well drilled, with everyone knowing their role and playing it well. A solid foundation for others to come in to.

The glass doesn't always need to be half empty.

Indeed. That and Brighton picked a good replacement for Potter as well.

But that does not suit the narrative that Potter is the cause of all our problems, and our poor players are suffering so under his reign of tyranny

I don't think journos or the crowd are the key factor. The key factor is the players and whether they will die in the ditch and on the hill for Potter. Some like Gallagher will until they are frozen out, some like Mudryk and Enzo and Felix have so much to prove and are getting selected so they will try.

Others like Mount and Ziyeck and Koulibaly, kova are where it will be harder.

Chukwumeka hasn't had a kick since the January window for instance. I guess Ivanovic had to wait a season to get a place.

Morale has to be an issue. I guess the fact that Potter is a "nice" guy make make it easier. will

The point is if he loses the dressing room either he or the players have to go.

I'll bite.

What's your spin on the current win % stats and goals scored per game stats, as per tables posted up the thread ?  🙂

“Brighton scored 42 times last season in the league, for an average of 1.1 goals per game. Potter's Chelsea average is 0.9 goals per match, with 15 goals in 17 games.

Brighton had 12.9 shots per game last season, but that figure drops to 11.9 for Chelsea under Potter.“

The problem has followed him from Brighton to us.
