Nice win.  Moved 3 points ahead of ManU

Kepa and Mason for motm. Thiago and RLC good but pretty average from everyone else. 

Potter has got us winning though, good 3 points and on to the next one.

No surprise that exactly this happened when he did come on. Took control of the game from there on out. Underrated player.

Kepa & Mas joint motm. They won the match for us otherwise a dodgy tuchelesque performance, Reece is & will be a big miss for the team. 
Winning ugly is always nice! 

Nice to win despite being second best for a lot of the match. That’s a useful talent to have, and we forgot how to do it in recent years.

Have to be happy when you win and play crap

First half was seriously poor, subs partly fixed the erroneous tactical decisions made by the manager 

Kepa superb , it can’t be understated how well he played

Two good finishes by Mason …will it shut Tim and his detractors up?

Well, that was another incredibly economical performance. We again put in the absolute minimum amount of skill and effort necessary to win a game.

Our MOTM either Kepa or Mings.

 

 

Kepa - 9 - Kept us in the game in the first half. Without him, we would have conceded 4.

Sterling - 5 - From RWB to RW to ST, not his day. Shouldn't be asked to play RWB, the result is the same as playing Pulisic there.

Chalobah - 8 - Very good. Usually he struggles in games where we are put under pressure, but he was excellent today.

Silva - 7 - Never put a foot wrong.

Cucurella - 3 - Really bad, worst game for us so far. He looked really uncomfortable having to defend and passing out of the back was poor. Didn't help Chilwell deal with Bailey's pace.

Chilwell - 5 - Not his day, nothing really came off for him. Attackers never gave him a pass out of defence and Cucurella was a terrible partner for him

Loftus-Cheek - 5 - Played within himself again.

Kovacic - 5 - Tidy on the ball, but offered nothing going forward.

Mount - 8 - Excellent, won us the game with his goals, back to his best of late.

Havertz - 3 - Another one of those awful games for Havertz.

Aubameyang - 3 - Shouldn't have started after playing midweek. We have Broja who looks eager to impress, use him, give him a chance.

Subs: 

Koulibaly - 6 - Much better than Cucurella, but as usual, can't handle players running at him

Azpilicueta - 6 - We needed somebody to come in make us more solid defensively and he did it.

Jorginho - 6 - Took control of the midfield which we desperately needed.

Gallagher - 6 - Much needed energy in attack, excellent cross to Sterling as well.

Broja - 5 - Never had time to do much.

As a role player he can be extremely important to us and he was today.

Potter has a lot to do with this attack. I just don’t understand why they all have tunnel vision and play like they’ve never met one another. 
 

We need to see some improvement. I’ll be damned if we continue to rely on our wingbacks only for the attacking bite.

Mount played great today. Up until two games ago he sucked. I gave him credit last game too. Edify, lad. Edify.

I'll be honest with you. I get the feeling you've already made up your mind about Jorginho so it wouldn't be fruitful to do so.

I think everyone who watched it saw that we regained much more control when he came on. I could go into the details but as I explained over I won't.

Hopefully this ends the Sterling as RWB and Cucurella as LCB experiments. I also don't rate Aubameyang very much, hopefully we can somehow get Nkunku in january. Gallagher should take Havertz spot. Kovacic and RLC dosen't work together in midfield, their positioning is horrible.
