If he hits 15 - 20 goals thats what the valuation would be lol, in this system he could hit way more Why sell him if he's so good for us that he's worth £75m or more ? When did football fans want their club to sell players because they might score 20 goals and increase their valuation? Next some fans will be urging the club to sell Palmer because he's worth over £100m ! f**k sake fans are behaving like profit motivated owners instead of football fans. Anyway terrific result today mate, take care.

No need. The Noni battle is won axman. Even @Remodez has finally seen the light. Well at least until Toddy and Eggy try to sell him to Newcastle. But now I have to put on my cape again and try to save Carney.

But let's see if Captain Just(ice) can indeed save Carney, though think most on here rate him already. Probably needs to fly to Clearlake HQ.
August 26, 20241 yr Superb game. Most direct player we have and should see a lot of minutes this year. His form end of last season was strong, carried thru pre season and great to see today. Stay humble lad, and push yourself for more.
August 26, 20241 yr The moment they took the plunge and put Sterling on alert, I felt like Noni wasn’t leaving. That whole argument, to me, centered around moving a player if you bring in Neto … and Noni was the option that would have been easiest financially. But he has stepped up the way the owners, front office and everyone else has asked players to step up: “make yourself unsellable” Ive always said I have no issue with the model, in fact I like it, if the best players stay and we can make profit on the ones that don’t. Some teams keep their 20 to 30m value starters and sell the players they can get 85m for to survive. We want to be the opposite. Keep the players who could command 80+m and sell the 20-30’s steadily. Noni is a gem: that rare athlete that truly relishes having weight on his shoulders and taking on challenges.

The chemistry between him and Palmer is probably the key! We better not sell Noni this week or I'm rage quitting this club!

You could see hints of him having a powerful finish from inside the box last season, it was always going to be a lot of mixed performances but he's the player Maresca should invest in, just more game time is needed.

Rumours we're now also (inexplicably) going for Sancho. Palmer is his only competition and he looks better through the middle. Neto locks down the left, Felix is an impact sub battling for minutes through the middle, Nkunku through the middle or on the left and Enzo plays deep.
August 27, 20241 yr I don’t think I’ve been this split on a player in years. Looks like an absolute baller and get genuinely excited when he’s in possession as anything could happen BUT I just don’t like the bloke? I think it’s his attitude.

But I actually think his attitude helps his game. So many of our players seem scared to try something, to take someone on…. But Noni seems to believe he can do it, and therefore tries - even if sometimes it goes wrong. Compare this to Sterling, who seems to never take people on.

August 27, 20241 yr I’ve quite liked him since the first few times I saw him. Like many of the signings in the last couple years he’s looked good in flashes/moments. Hopefully he can become a consistent threat.
August 27, 20241 yr I am very confused about something. I’ve always heard he is a totally one footed player, that being his left foot, but he scored three nice goals with his right foot. What gives?

Apparently he's been doing extra work on his weaker foot shooting. You gotta credit the lad.

Alternatively, he has obviously worked very hard on using his right foot. Making him less predictable in the process. Now the oppo know he's capable of more than just cutting inside onto his left and shooting.
