Welcome home Super Frank

He’ll always be Super Frank to me. Yes he’s not a world class manager but I appreciate he is doing everything he can for us, even though I didn’t expect it to be this bad.

It just shows how much of a mess we are really, considering he didn’t do that bad here before Everton.

It’s mainly the owners fault we are in this mess. It could have been avoided.

Poor bar steward. Hired as a lightning rod for the appallingly arrogant decisions, rank ineptitude and thorough lack of understanding of the sport of the ownership team. Somehow an even more cynical appointment than the first time we hired him.

Anyone blaming Frank is missing the full picture. There is no manager on the planet, from the time that Frank was hired, who could have fixed this by the end of the season. It's not possible, unless they can somehow devise a winning strategy without the players having to run for more than five minutes. He's a f**king hero for taking on this utter disaster in the first place, and for somehow not losing his mind in the process.

People are angry and are looking for somebody to blame. That is quite understandable, I am angry too, this is f**king awful. Lampard is really not the problem. Anyone digging at him to score some points on the internet can go f**k themselves, then f**k off and support whoever the flavour of the month is.

I wasn't expecting him to fix it, my problem is he's made it worse.

At the end under Potter there was a semblance of a system coming into play. We were defending well (the case for almost of all of Potter's reign despite all his problems really) and we were building up well in the first 2/3rds, maybe Enzo was a bigger reason for that but Lampard has had Enzo avaliable to him aswell. Lampard has also had Kante's return whereas Potter was only able to select him in a matchday squad twice.

My issue isn't that Lampard isn't fixing things, it's he's removed the few things that were good.

Agree with this but if Pochettino has agreed to take the job in the summer then he really needs to come in now.

if Lampard can’t make some fixes in the time he’s had then I’m not sure Pochettino will be able sort this out over a close season

Ah Timo....how I miss him. My beautiful boy..... Wish he was here.

We could sure do with him about now. Do you agree @just ? 🙂

Well, for sure Tammy is more of a natural striker than Werner and technically miles better. But IMO neither are good enough for a top team. And that's what we are aiming to be. So it's a no from me Jim.

I respect everyone has a right to their own opinion and feeling on what is going on with Frank, but for me nothing he does as a manager will ever change how proud I was, and still am, of Frank Lampard and what he achieved and did for us as a player.

Never.

Yeah even if he gets us relegated I will still see him as the legend of a player that he is. A lot of people cant separate Frank the manager from Frank the player and so when hes performing bad, they suddenly have erased all the good he's done for the club.

No is is questioning Frank the player here that’s not even up for discussion. Frank the manager however should not be anywhere near the managers dugout.

The 🤡 in charge thought this would get the fans off their back but it’s actually made it worst!!!

And making the ludicrous statement that he’s here until the end of the season boxed them into a corner absolutely shambolic from top to bottom.

Starting to ruin his legacy as a player now. People are turning on him. He needs to walk. He knows he can't do anything.

His legacy as a player can't be ruined. He could relegate us as a manager 5 times and his legacy as a player will remain untouched. He gave us the best memories any fan can dream of, became our all time top goalscorer, helping the club win things us fans never thought we could win. If any fan who lived through that period is saying his legacy as a player is ruined, then they're not fans of Chelsea football club and we don't need people like that following the club.

Ole doesn't get anywhere near the same respect at United as he used to. Yes Ole is nowhere near the legend that Lampard is, but it does show people have short memories. However, unlike Ole, Lampard won't be here for too long so I don't think his name would be tarnished.

From what I can gather Ole was basically sucking off The Glazers throughout his time at the club. If we had owners like that (for all of Clearlakes faults they're not asset stripping the club and have ambition for good or bad) I certainly would not take well to a club legend getting cozy with them.

Solskjaer's managerial record at United will be forgotten about the next time he returns. The bad times are easy to forget when the good times are as good as they get.

We all know he's no super tactician, what I was hoping is for him to bring the energy and fight back into the players, instead it's the complete opposite. All I could see is the job is too much for him, similar to what happened to Potter

I'm pretty sure there was a thread a few years ago where you said you often have put money on Chelsea to lose games true or not ?

Think I've done it once. I don't bet normally.

Very true. John Hollins is still a club legend and always will be, despite also having a strong playing career at Arsenal and a poor stint at managing us.
