I doubt anything will be announced until our status in the Premier League is confirmed for next season. The way teams in the bottom 5 have been dropping points, we may reach that point in the next week, even if we keep losing. It is unlikely that a new manager would take over this season either way.

I think whoever we lined up for the job will want see how this season ends before singing his Life ( for a few years at a great daily rate) away. should the unthinkable happens ( still need a win to guarantee staying up), it will be a completely different game. With the way teams are trading goals on the weekend, surely we are due for a few goals in a game.

No we don’t, 3/4 of the 16th-19th teams will suddenly have to hit title winning form now alongside the teams in between those and us getting the required points.

It's nothing to brag about but it would take the most unique set of results in football history for it to even turn into a small possibility.

After key internal discussions in LA this weekend, Chelsea are entering into final stages of process to hire new coach. Talks with Mauricio Pochettino will continue this week in order to complete the agreement on final, crucial points.

That's what I think for every prediction, and somehow I'm wrong every time. It's almost as if "being due" is not a thing in football :laugh2:

After key discussions in Baku this weekend, Chelsea are entering into final stages of process to hire new coach. Talks with Mauricio Pochettino will continue this week, and Chelsea will sought new candidates in case Pochettino falls through. Tim Sherwood and Steve Bruce the front runners.

I am hoping the reason it is taking so long is because Pochettino has seen what has been going on and is being smart. Lining up everything he wants/needs in his contract.

For example if he wants Todd and co to steer clear of the dressing room it is in the contract. If he gets say on transfer in and out, in the contract etc.

That way they fully understand each other, and hopefully work well together.

I think he’s waiting to see how far down he finishes and also like you mentioned putting in place clauses to keep to owners out of the dressing room. The fact he hasn’t jumped to get involved yet publicly suggests this job has lost some of its shine due to the 🤡 in charge.

Absolute 🤡 why didn’t they do this when they sacked Tuchel? The fact they thought Potter was the answer gives me zero confidence they will get Pochettino. I suspect he has them over a barrel and is in a advantageous position in terms of details due to how badly they f**ked up the club.

Oh ...I get it ! 😁😁😁

I would rather us be relegated than have that Tottenham man in charge at the bridge  He  had one lucky season failed at PSG where it nearly impossible to fail then wrote a book on how bloody great he is    all that vote for him should be ashamed to call them selves Chelsea fans  true chelsea fans will never except a lilly white

Did you feel the same about Hoddle? Who without him laying the ground work we may not have been so succesful in the late 90s/early 00s and therefore attracting Roman.

Also Ancelotti (who many want back) and Emery (who is doing great in this league) also failed to win the league at PSG.

You would rather we got relegated? Seriously?

True Chelsea fans. Really true Chelsea fans would never say, let alone type that they would rather we got relegated.

One question? Have you been there? Been to Grimsby or Cambridge United in a competitive league match? It's sh*t.

Personally I’d sooner go watching football in proper grounds rather than the soulless all seater venues that were forced on us.

I haven't done all the maths, in theory relegation is not likely. However, we are only 9 points above the drop, and teams below got at least 4 games to play, so we aren't out of danger completely. Games against Bourmeouth and Forest look like season defining games, who'd have thought that 12 months ago? 🤐

Pochettino does have a good history of getting most out of players, Dele looked world class under him for a while, and even Dier looked solid. Not even going to mention Kane and Sun. We haven't got much options in the managers market, just get this done so we could move on.

Hell Tuchel probably would've failed to win the league had PSG decided to keep him for the season. And I love Tuchel but the state PSG was in was also a reason why Pochettino didn't win the league there when joining.

Yep spot on - some of our "fans" are cringe-worthy. Recent classics include:

- I would rather we got relegated than have an ex spurs manager here

- I hope we lose the next game if it gets rid of Potter

- I am done with the season - and won't be watching another game.

- lets not even get started on the alleged death threats.

Many of our "fans", including a number on here really need to take a long look in the mirror and get a grip. Disgusting behaviour at times.
