Do you think his method will translate with better player?

Most people will say absolutely. But that is not always the case. Zerbiball is similar to Sarriball although imo de zerbi is much better but as you can see with sarri it didn't work in juve nor with us.

Our players are in no way better than Brighton's.

Coaching and training the players on where to move and how to create transition opportunities in the build up (especially when against a press) and how to create patterns of play in every third of the pitch, shouldn't be considered untranslatable.

As far as having the players solve things for themselves, you still need to provide them the options to choose. A manager is responsible for that and it goes back to training the players in situations.

Pochettino has been said to want to keep and involve some players in the squad that were expected to be on the way out.

The first one we heard about was Pulisic, and now Lukaku is the second one, apparently Pochettino has been talking to them both to convince them to stay.

I read today that Pochettino wants to build a squad around Lukaku (he might think of him as a Harry Kane figure).  If this is the case, the answer from me is NO NO NO.

Or maybe because there is no buyer for the fat lump and we're basically stuck with him for the next 3 years. He may not build around Lukaku but can give him a serious run in the team.

How does the media know this ?

Speculation...I hope!

Just pure speculation until @JM7confirms it.

🚨 The conversation between Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino is ongoing; nothing has collapsed.

They are speaking about all of the details regarding the contract, including length and some clauses. Also, the plans for the transfers and the ones to sell.

Mauricio Pochettino is still considered the favourite; they are having very positive conversations, but there are some things to clarify before saying it's a done deal and completed. It remains very advanced.

Don’t you know the answer mate? We’ve got all kind of experts in here. From the city brokers telling us how we are the club in England (probably in the world) with the largest debt in just one season, and how we are going to disappear due to it, to those that sit at the negotiating table, and have dinner every day with Pochettino and Boehly. And, funny enough, by all accounts we’re doomed and Chelsea will disappear into the thin air at midnight of the 31st December 2023.

But fearing disaster and calamity is pure Chelsea 😝😝😝

When you consider the options on the market,

Keeping Pulisic and Lukaku makes sense for Pochettino. Pulisic looks like a Pochettino player, he could definitely help him push on to the next level if he stays fit. The young man still has an abundance of talent he just lacks consistency.

Tuchel didn't play him nearly as often as he should and you can tell it knocked his confidence and probably made him slightly rusty. He was ofc injured way too often.

Lukaku is a different matter entirely...mnot sure about how he fits into a high pressing Pochettino front line

Whoever the next manager is should have complete control of the first team, and pick whoever he wants. If he wants to play Lukaku and Pullisic, let it be and should only be judged at the end of the season.

Just seen that Pochettino is having a chat with the spuds ,is this paper chat or is another one about to bite the dust ffs ,Todd get the job done.

Probably fake. Matt Law is the most reliable source for both Chelsea and the Spuds and he has reported that Pochettino wants Chelsea

If Newsnow Chelsea was the source of your post then I suggest you click into and read the actual article behind the headline, which makes no mention at all of Spurs being interested in Pochettino, and reports in fact the complete opposite

"Spurs fans have been clamouring for a comeback ever since he was sacked in 2019 and felt that the dismissal of Antonio Conte opened up the chance of their dreams becoming a reality. Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis are yet to take any steps towards that, though, and have set their sights on Julian Nagelsmann, Vincent Kompany and Xabi Alonso instead. "

It's just click bait ... the usual sh*te from football.london ...

BS, always check what the bookies are offering rather than the rags. Pochettino 1/20 to CFC Nagelsmann 5/2 to Spuds.
