That's kind oif the problem though. He just lets players be "free" and so the majority of them don't seem to know what to do. Sure it works for some, but it's not enough to just let the team be free.

Palmer should have a more free role, that's the right call by Pochettino. But not Enzo and the rest that roam around...

Free doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. Poch football is not as free as ancelotti, he is actually a circuit ball manager, similar to sarri/conte but it is not strict. Poch allow player to  have room for individual decision.

You can easily tell the circuit and the pattern that he use. If you watch Maatsen when he was used as rw, it was so clear. His movement was actually better than Palmer, Mudyrk and Madueke.

How can a bench warmer like Maatsen run poch system better than rotation/starting player? 😁😁😁

Because it is no different between school and football. Some student/player can get the idea quickly, some take more time, some will never get it.

Also worth bearing in mind that it took Potter three years to build the foundation for the system and patterns of play at Brighton that they are now lauded for ... and that was three years of real average stuff in terms of league position and goal scoring ... 15th, 16th and 9th ... 39, 40 and 42 goals.

"Time and patience"

Very occasionally you see some sort of step change overnight (Emery at Villa being the most recent example) but these are the exceptions rather than the rule. Typically it is all about having the right players at the right time that a manager can work with. Many of our expensive acquisitions clearly have talent, but most are really young. In two or three years they'll have improved dramatically, developed stamina and fitness as they mature, and whoever is the manager at that point will reap the benefit.

Watching Football Focus and they interviewed Cole Palmer.

He likes playing for Poch said he was disappointed at Wembley yet pleased to be in FA Qtrs and they are looking to finish in 5th.

Pundit Murray was saying some of the criticism against Poch was unfair as CFC has such a young team that has not been together for long and adds if they can stay together should make them a force within a couple of years.

Anyone still wanting this useless f**ker to stay is a moron.

Team too young.
Too many injuries.
Missed chances.
Team just put together.
Players aren’t good enough.
Any manager would fail here.

Blah, blah, blah, blah.

He has to go now. Unbelievably poor in game management here. Even starting with a completely new back 3, and wing backs was questionable. Then to watch the game turn on its head, and do nothing until we have thrown the game away is just negligence.

You've read Sexyfootball's script....

Ownership can keep backing Poch all they want and keep spouting the nonsense that they are building a 100 point team, but if there are no signs of delivering they best be held accountable and answer for it.

Hopefully sacked tonight.

He's clearly holding back all our future Ballon d'or winners that have averaged just over a point a game under their last 4 managers.

Think Klopp is only leaving because he's just blown away by the sheer potential of our players who were all massive bargains and would be undefeated both this and last season under any decent coach though in truth I'm not sure there's a manager out there that can handle the sheer talent in this squad.

Liverpool managed to find a winner despite their injuries so I wonder if he has the gull to make another Klopp comparison.

Just a bang average manager well out of his depth. How many times over would Pochettino have been sacked under Abramovich.

Don't even need to think about it because he would never have been hired in the first place. Abramovich would never have gone from Tuchel to Potter to Pochettino.

Pochettino on paper was an appointment that might have happened under Roman, but he would have been gone already. At the time there really wasn't any outstanding candidates barring Poch, this time around there's Amorim, De Zerbi, Alonso, Nagelsmann and Jose.
