So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!

Like I said, it's an upgrade from last season.

Anyone who says otherwise is delusional, of course the defending has gone backwards but we're playing far better.

I don't see us getting into the top 4 next season if we keep conceding goals like this. You can only score yourself out of trouble so many times. We'll run into the exact same problems next season. And next season we need to make progress and fight for a top 4 spot.

Top 4 is not that difficult. Without injury to Nkunku, Chilwell, James and Fofana we would have gotten top 4.

If you are asking, can we compete with City and arse, that is whole another story.

Maybe it's Bayern that Poch is after.

He can barely speak English after over a decade of trying to learn, so good luck to him picking up German.

He never spoke a word of French at PSG and despite the % of internationals you still had a good majority not knowing what the f**k was going on in there.

Fairly sure he used an interpreter, certainly for interviews during his entire spell af Southampton

Before he took the Southampton job he started learning English in preparation, so over a decade of learning the language and the results are =  incoherent blabber. Good luck with German. The interpreter at PSG must have been a Marseille fan.

Not one of life’s linguist’s…..Apparently when Michael Owen went to Madrid his Spanish was quickly superior to Beckhams, even though Beckham had been out there for a year

On this weeks episode of Niall reading too much into a press conference, I think Poch handled this one much better.

I liked him trying to draw a line in the sand on the repetitive questions he has been asked about pressure, injuries and the young squad.

I also think he handled the question about his previous comments on not 'feeling the love' from the fans very well. He's right, it would have been weird if he came in and faked love out of nowhere. Hard to see a day where we worship the bloke, regardless of what he achieves but he is right, he'll have to earn any love he receives.

I sort of can't wait for the season to end now. Unlike last year where it was just to end the pain, this year I am just hoping we finally turn a corner and leave these last 2 years behind and move on.

Totally agree, his best presser to date. He even looked younger, more confident and relaxed so I guess there’s a positive mood around the place atm

You realise speaking to press is different from speaking in private personal setting.

Loads of people are comfortable speaking privately but struggle in a public setting.

Hes getting his message across as the players are responding and playing for him.

I fully understand when he speaks why stutters and makes mistakes in public.

To reflect solely on Pochettino I think he's done a good job this season. Taking account all the injuries and in what turmoil state the club's been under him. Finishing 6-10th is okay.

He is an improvement on Potter, Saltor and Frank. That is pretty easy to say. For this project I think he is better than Tuchel as well. Tuchel seems to be a tournament coach.

I think our young squad, who ever has played, is improved and individual players have improved. Naturally the recently assembled team will improve anyway under anyone but he seems to have the players in his grasp.

Gallagher, Palmer, Gusto, Caicedo and with a stretch Petrovic have all been good under him. All young lads.

Hopefully we get the additions we need in the summer and get rid of players we don't. If the sporting directors succeed we also might next season. Big responsibility on them.

What Pochettino lacks is trophies. He hasn't shown that in his career. Maybe we could reach another final soon and he gets another crack at it. Hopefully.

Sort out the injuries and bring in 3 upgrades, I think there is zero margin for error next season for Poch. There needs to be Champions League football.

Its his relief shining through knowing this is his last game he has to manage us before he can quit

Anyone see David Ornstein on CBS suggesting or hinting the new United hierarchy could be looking at Poch to replace Ten Hag.

Could be why he’s so chipper United and Bayern as potentially interested parties why shouldn’t he be happy 😂

Bayern I can understand, but United? Why would he go from one mess to an even bigger mess.

Another game, another win. The team is finally delivering now, now it’s got to the point where it really would be idiotic to sack Poch.

We are starting to see improvement, I mean Europe are in our hands now for christs sake. I never saw this coming a month ago and I doubt many people did.

Give him another season.

Player power keeping the manager vs having him sacked.

I don't think that's ever been in doubt really, there's been multiple times this season where all it would have taken was to tank a couple of games and he'd have been gone.

With a statement like that from your most inform player you gotta believe that the ownership will be in favour of keeping him.

I am aswell now on balance (but more a probation period in my eyes than being fully Poch in).

I've been pretty consistent all season that the main thing I wanted to see was some encouragement with his tactics and set ups and finally it has happened.

That said the start of next season is crucial, there's a relative lack of pressure right now that won't be the case when we kick off again. A start like last year and the pressure ramps up again.
