September 29, 20232 yr No we've started to turn the corner, let's hope we rapidly reach the point of acceleration.
September 29, 20232 yr With the potential we have signed, this side will be amazing. But injuries have destroyed any chance of moving forward at the moment. We must be doing something terribly wrong in the fitness and medical department I have never known so many injuries over such a length of time. Get everybody fit and I think we will be exciting to watch and will definitely be pushing for a top 4 finish, until then, who knows.
September 29, 20232 yr Yeah... you do begin to wonder whether there is something not quite right somewhere...
September 29, 20232 yr Silva should have been made captain, they pulled the trigger too early on this. Gallagher now De facto captain but he is by no means (or should be) a solidified starter week in week out. Despite his English, it probably should have just gone to Enzo, if Silva is being phased out eventually, once Badiashile comes back.
September 29, 20232 yr I'm actually glad Enzo wasn't made captain. Obviously talented and hard-worker, but he already came as our most expensive player ever and was given free reign to take set pieces, penalties and whatsoever without having much success so far. Last thing we need as a club is a 22 year old boy who can barely speak the language of the country he's playing at thinking he absolutely owns the place and is irreplaceable, soon we'd have a Mbappe situation in our hands where he's dictating who should play and who should leave. Let him grow into his own role, nurture the love for the shirt and then we can talk about being captain.

September 30, 20232 yr Poch putting his foot down? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12575873/Mauricio-Pochettino-Chelsea-transfer-400m-summer-spend-Blues.html
September 30, 20232 yr The other way to interpret what Poch said was he had very little to do with the 400M transfers, which is a bit scary. How much are we going to spend in January, another 400M? FFP or not, the upfront payment is getting us in serious debt, and we got very little to show after almost a year and half.

Not 400m but, Poch is getting at least one more attacker in January.

Roman's clause protects the club from debt. THe only thing we need to be worried about os ticket sales and merchandise going up to offset the costs of what we've spent.
September 30, 20232 yr It's totally silly to say that Pochettino should be sacked. Yes I'm a socially conservative Protestant, so I didn't want Lampard sacked in 2021. Lampard was playing 4 at he back and I felt going in the right direction. Glad we're playing 4 at the back now, as we know football is easy, just work your backsides off, defend as an unit. It's not Poch's fault there's a dearth of centre-forwards on the planet, I'm sure there were more top quality centre-forwards on the planet when I started watching football in the 1980's.
October 2, 20232 yr He’s getting the players to do what he wants slowly still no where near our potential or his style but it’s getting their. And we are starting to rack up clean sheets.

As soon as Badiashile comes back Silva can relax behind the scenes much more. I don't think he would mind one bit. hope you're right! Colwill-Badiashille partnership is probably our best pairing. Disasi has been pretty good and grown into his role, but hes not starter material and think he'd be better as a backup

The amount of times he has been right on top of Silva when defending is annoying. I know we all love Silva, but I think Disasi loves him a bit too much 😆

October 3, 20232 yr On 01/10/2023 at 01:01, Frankie8Lampard said: Roman's clause protects the club from debt. There is no such clause. Abramovich absolved the previous debt (to the tune of 1.5bn) which was 'owed' to his holding company, Fordstam, and also ensured that none of the bidders would be using a leveraged buyout (like the Glazers) where they borrow against the value of the club. Almost all the investment money is funded by debt. While the club does not owe the money directly to a lender, it is still effectively financed by debt. If JP Morgan call in their loans to Clearlake or Boehly, we'd have to pay.
October 3, 20232 yr Poch got cucu at right back and starting mudryck correct. Credit where it’s due. However he still has to drop Silva, play Enzo deeper and thereby make room for another attacker. Colwill was good as left back, but he is still out of position. Colwill has been the biggest improvement in the team this season compared to last in my opinion. A real talent.
October 3, 20232 yr He's a good manager, give him time and the support he will start getting results, add another win on Saturday and we will call it a revival. He made the big call dropping Sterling, turned out to be correct. Backline is fine , I'd play the same on Saturday if no fitness issues Edited October 3, 20232 yr by icecoolguy22

Broja said on Saturday is when Pochettino told him he was starting. I expect Sterling would have played up front had he not been sick, and believe he will be back vs Burnley.

October 3, 20232 yr Notice how for the first time this season, the last two games we've had the least possession yet played better and won the games?
October 3, 20232 yr Take nothing away from the positivity around the club at the minute and lineup choices in particular but there is definitely still work to do on the structure.
