All the more reason to get Dibu Martinez and Ugarte.

Team needs some sh*tehouses.

Who? Laruato and Emilo Martinez I know we been linked with, is that a third Martinez we are after?

United have scored 4 goals in a game just 3 times this season and their goals have been drying up a lot since they won the League Cup...........so of course they would put that right from their perspective against us.

I'm running out words for this Chelsea team. I can't remember a team falling this badly so quickly.

SKY put up a graphic before the start of the game Scott that said we hadn't beaten Man U in the previous 10 games so obviously tonight's result now makes it 11. It's not just this season we have struggled to turn them over.

It's Lautaro and Emiliano 🤣

Most casual observers are stunned at how bad our results and performances (both individual and collective) are. They really haven't been paying attention. We have been appalling since preseason, and the takeover, behind the scenes chaos and unbelievable mismanagement by the new owners have left us with a squad of demoralised, bewildered and demotivated players whose form has been in decline for an entire year. A nightmarish injury record (for the second year in a row) has exacerbated things, with vital players either out or just unfit for large parts of the season, but if the squad had real spirit and the will to win of previous Chelsea teams we could have overcome these absences.

We're sh*t and we know we are. Lampard knows it, the players know it, the supporters know it. We've had sh*t recruitment, sh*t conditioning, sh*t coaching, sh*t team selection and sh*t substitutions. It's been sh*t watching us for a long time, so this is not the sudden, baffling decline many outsiders seem to think it is.

Hopefully Pochettino also knows it and isn't deluded enough to think a few quick fixes and a few new signings will put everything right very quickly.

It hurts going so long not being able to beat such a crappy United side, but my main point was that once again a team has found something they have been lacking after playing us. The main part of United's game that has been missing of late is goals, so here comes Charity FC to give them exactly what they wanted.

All of this is just the result of Clearlake’s bungling on an industrial scale

a failed takeover floundering and bleeding capital all over

A few mens egos have ruined our club in less than 12 months

btw the football by Chelsea today when I glanced at the telly from unpacking was abject. I’ve never seen a more unorganized , unmotivated and unwilling bunch of misfits dressed in blue since the last match and no doubt vs the barcodes as well. Thank F only 1 to go.

Just watched the highlights 😁

Not good but tbh Hall seemed to have a great game and we seemed to dominate the first half with chances - dreadful misses by Mudryk Havertz.

2 Mistakes by Wofana in 2nd half and it's all over...

Felix showed his class again.

FL should try TV he's going no where in management - why didn't he give Dofana a start? Dave again... Felix and Silva on the bench ????????????? ...  should have taken Wofana off after he gave away the pen.

Personally I don't think it's all doom and gloom - disaster for us losing Tuchel sooner we get Pooch in the better for me.

I must have rose coloured glasses because I saw a team today that would have beaten United with just a few tweaks. Tons of ability in the younger players and most will go on to have excellent careers.

What's clearly missing is the management and that goes a lot further than team selection and tactics. Its fitness and medical and culture. Also there are a couple but only a couple of key spots to fill. Numero uno is the onfield general and secondly yeah is a striker.

To my way of thinking most of the other bits are in place.

No, we really are that bad. I don't believe for a second that we can just throw a striker in there and we start scoring goals. Even Haaland would struggle for goals in this squad because we don't create chances for our strikers to score. I would be absolutely shocked if Pochettino gets this club top 10 next season. We barely managed 40 points this season, which would be relegation form in any other season. We are currently no better than the teams getting relegated, and I just don't see how it magically turns around next season, especially under a manager the majority of the fanbase didn't even rate this time last season.

I rate Pochettino higher than Potter and Lampard, but I don't put him anywhere near the likes of Tuchel, Klopp, Ancelotti and Guardiola, and even they would struggle to get this lot finishing higher than 8th.

I hate to say it but I fear you are right!  There seems to be some 'hope' running through some of us but lets get real here, we ARE currently THE worst team in the division, possibly with the exception of Southampton though personally I believe we are worse than them.  Are we to believe that Pochettino will get this lot back to 'top 4?  No chance!  Personally I think that if we can avoid a relegation dogfight next year then we have done well, and I'm not even joking!  I am an old fella and I was a very young man the last time we were this p*ss poor.

In saying that you guys are ignoring our Xg which has actually been quite strong. Over the season to date goals are 37 and xG is 50. On the other hand goals conceded are 27 and xA 38 so it balances out.

However Scott is wrong when he says we don't create chances we do. And there are more to be created once we get a system going and cut out the sloppy stuff. Sloppiness has been terrible all season long. Management can fix that. The key is to fix the sloppiness but retain the joy and the creativity. Thats what takes a talented manager

Never understood it at the time.

Hassekbaink, a proven Chelsea striker, a coach and the Chelsea TV pundit gats picked up by England whilst we go for Lampard on the rebound from his disastrous tenure at Everton.

I am not saying that Hasselbaink would have been the answer but on the basis of where our deficiencies have been surely he would have been a better choice than Frank.

I saw Jimmy's Burton a few times and with all the love in the world to him his football was pre historic.

For a safe pair of hands interim we should have just got Roy and I can't believe I'm saying that.

Before last night we beat them more recently than them us.

Sorry for the late reply, I had to go with 20 minutes to go or so. I don't think last night was the worse of the games I've seen from this lot this season, to be honest. At least the majority of the players tried, there were some moments of play that I enjoyed, but you could see that they were 11 random guys chucked to the pitch for a game of footy. There was no feeling or understanding between them.

Pochettino may not be a world class coach, I agree, but he's got the skill to coach this lot how to play as a team and set them up tactically. That's for me the first and foremost important thing to do (plus get rid of the surplus in the changing room). Then we need a keeper and a striker, they won't be the magic trick to change things around as I think that playing like a team is the most important thing, but it will be good to have decent options there. And, for me, we need a midfielder in the mould of Rice or Caicedo as well, but I can only say that as I haven't seen Santos and Casadei play, so don't know if they can save us the money there.

I think we have many young players that have the quality, yesterday there were some quality moves (as well as very sh*tty controls), they just need a coach to coach them and to set them up tactically. I think Pochettino can do that job. And once they start learning those tricks, we have a solid base to build on.

That's my opinion, anyway, only time will tell. But I don't think that we are in such a bad position for the future despite the horrid season we've had. It will take time and won't be easy, but we've got some good players in the team.

This kind of thing just puts the cherry on top of how much of a disgrace these lot are, where is the togetherness?, nobody backing Enzo against the entire United team squaring up to him.. just Kepa in the end. And I don’t wanna hear about experience or leaders as this is just the basics of being a team and having each other’s back.

Seen this on previous occasions too. It's like nobody gives a sh*t about the other.

We hire a bunch of mercenaries, then cut their wages by 30%, and people are surprised they act this way?

Can't see how anyone blames the players for that spanking last night.

The way we were setup we were basically on all fours asking to be spanked. So many times our centrebacks were left exposed because our full backs were so high at the same time! Why would you even try that at old trafford with the likes of Rashford, Sancho and Antony.

Basically a re-run of Lampard Mk 1.  He has learned absolutely zilch.

So you've just watched us miss 3 sitters right in front of goal and your first instinct is to blame a bloke sat in LA? Get f**ked.

Firstly is there any need for the language, and yes its 100% his fault. It all comes down to business management. I'm not going to bite and assume you're emotions were running high from the game. But I don't think there's any need for a grown man to be acting like that.

Point stands, I would take back the get f**ked but it's probably more acceptable for a grown man to say that than it is to reply with that meme 😂. Either way, we'll have to disagree, this has crept into football where fans suddenly decide it's all the boards fault. You're seeing it with Man Utd, Spurs and Liverpool at the minute because things aren't going their way and we saw it with arsenal for over a decade until they started winning this season.

Boehly etc have absolutely made mistakes since coming in but is he to blame for players missing sitters? No.

The players' fitness levels are way off. I think if the rumours are true that pre-season wasn't good, then it makes sense that all season they haven't been able to bring their fitness up to the rest of the top sides. On top of that injuries throughout the season. The preparation this season has been way off.

I'm not buying this. Yeah lack of pre season can affect you early on but after a number of prem games, the fitness should reach a certain level and plateau. We're just a team full of terrible players. The chances we miss are not down to fitness.

So many 😱😱 analysis but how should lamp line the team up if he want to win now?

Probably something like this

Felix/Gallagher - Kai - Madueke

Enzo - Zakaria

Hall - Koula/azpi-Chalo-Fofana-Ruben

But I can see tons of people complaining about lamp reluctance to play kids if he play this lineup.

But that is the reality. If you forget about kids and solely focus on winning now. The 1st thing you do is to protect Enzo. Have a dm next to him, Zakaria need to play next to him (why in the heck you want to play Zakaria, but you say you want to win now).

Where to play carney ? You want to win now, bench or as one of the attacker.

How much do you trust our winger defensively? Not so much, back 5 it is. But we want to play murdyk + Madueke? Sorry double winger is not the best idea for back 5. You can play murdyk more like a 10 but it doesn't suit him so conor/felix has to play.
