So twice Palmer has played and twice this idiot has wasted him, first on RW and now as a force nine, JUST play him at 10 ffs

My thought exactly.  I can see this bloke crushing this lad. All he achieved last season may well count for nought this season.

Madueke’s proven over the last year he’s got pace, strength, guile, the ability to beat players and the final product whether its goals or assists. Hopefully this game would have reassured any potential buyers of his ability and allows us to get the maximum for him. Weve just brought Neto and need another to leave alongside Sterling. I still think Mudryk’s ceiling and potential is greater than Madueke’s and we’d get more for selling Madueke, so Madueke has to go.

Agreed. He is already better than Rafael Leao. I can see him going to Juve and ripping Serie A to pieces.

1) You know how I posted how I like maresca trying players in different positions to see how they do...I take it back, my heart can't take it.

2) I never ever want to see the disaster brothers in defence again...definitely a 999 call in a PL game.

Sorry for encouraging you earlier. You can stop now.

Not a great game or performance but a wins a win. Our glory days of the last 20 years and all the success are now history. It's back to the drawing board for us. My problem is that I have no feeling for any of these players like I did for Frank ;JT: Eider; Drog etc. Mid table tops this season

Enzo with his ball recoveries and his great pass and Noni with his great run and even greater execution made all the difference, it was a pretty dull game overall.

Was pretty poor at times but a much needed win and clean sheet. Servette looked dangerous at times so we cannot take the second leg lightly.

I don't think any of the second string made a case for a first team start any time soon, bar Madueke perhaps. Thought Jorgensen did well though I am not sure if he is regarded as first or second choice.

How did Jörgensen look tonight? I'm getting worried if Sanchez is our number 1 for the forseeable future.

He made a few decent saves. Didn't make any gaffes. I'd like to see him get a start in the Premier League.

Did the commentator just give MOTM to Tosin?  The defense tonight was the worst I’ve seen keep a clean sheet in the history of football.

Tosin was abysmal during the pre-season as well, he needs to improve A LOT.

I’m so tired after watching that game. Really, really dull.

Hopefully that’s not going to be standard football we’ll be playing. A few more chances at scoring would have been nice.

Diabolical first half and not that good second half but a win is a win and I’ll take it. Very rusty performance from many players and defensively we were rubbish. Jorgensen, Madueke and Nkunku were about the only positives tonight, together with the result.

Jorgensen - Didn’t pass directly to the opposition or allow a basic shot in. #1 from her on out.

Disasi - We’ll struggle to get a fee for

Badiashille - We’ll struggle to get a fee for

Tosin - Should make a lovely little PSR profit next year

Veiga - Love the bloke, probably got a Red Card or 2 in him

Caicedio - He’ll be fine

KDH - Championship Player, Bewildering signing

Mudryk - Is he Quality but low on confidence or is he awful with some fluke moments? Probably never know

Nkunku - He’ll be fine

Neto - He’ll be fine

Guiu - Regardless of the miss, he created the change himself with his energy and pressing, wasn’t constantly offside and seems to understand how football works. Would start him over Jackson everyday of the week.

Terrible display, outplayed by a low level Swiss side that looked like a well organized team compared to our lot.

If they had any decent individual quality up front, we'd have probably lost.

Come to think of it, Sevette probably like their chances of beating us with the bigger margin at home. Based on tonight's performance why wouldn't they.

Just now, just said:

It is Scott but if you look at the match stats above your last post, they had more goal attempts, more shots on goal and more corners than we did. And our keeper had to make 7 saves and theirs only had 3.

You can’t moan too much, I mean they are Servette after all. Quality team.
