June 6, 20251 yr Pretty damning list.Anyway let's not let something silly like superstition ruin the dream. 🤞Welcome Liam! Big and strong lad is always in the order among strikers at Chelsea. 💪
June 6, 20251 yr There's no such thing as a number 9 curse, we just sign a lot of sh*t.Tammy was the best of the bunch and he came from the academy.

Could have been brilliant for us, but didn't he get a bit homesick, + don't think he figured in Jose's plans? And Di Santo. A striker who just didn't ever look like scoring. Would still take him over Jackson though! Edited June 6, 20251 yr by Nibs

Crespo was neither. If I were argumentative, and while I love Crespo as the next fan, I'd pick out a few names there that were probably better during their time in a Chelsea shirt!Crespo knew the offside line better than anyone and would have loved to have seen him with VAR! He would've got everything!

Copy the X link:Open the X app or website.Tap the Share icon (usually an arrow or three dots).Tap "Copy Link".2. Go to TheShedEnd.com:Open Safari or any browser.Log in to your account.3. Create or reply to a post:Tap "Reply" or "Start new topic".4. Paste the link directly into the post:Just paste the URL on its own line — don’t add any extra text before or after.Example:https://x.com/ChelseaFC/status/12345678901234567895. Wait a moment:Most modern forum software (TheShedEnd uses Invision Community) automatically converts the X link to an embed once you post it.6. Submit your post.📌 TipsMake sure you're not posting in "BBCode" mode — just use the default editor. If embedding doesn't work:Try using the desktop site in Safari (tap aA in the URL bar > "Request Desktop Website").Confirm the link is from x.com or twitter.com and is public.I asked ChatGPT and this is what it gave.

June 9, 20251 yr Even the version of Crespo we had wich might have been a year past best, playing today, would be top 3 strikers on the planet

I do remember him being decent, just not setting the league alight like Drogba or Costa did during their best periods. Crazy to think we've been so hit and miss with strikers. I still hate that we never got Aguero, but instead signed Torres. I always wondered what Aguero could have looked like up top for us. Imagine Hazard, Aguero, KDB. If only that could have been.

Not at the scoring level...just yet, but body language, that slightly crouching sprint, the enthusiastic energy. If we end up with a Crespo junior here, i'll be more than happy.
June 9, 20251 yr Does anyone else feel that Delap is a good signing, but we need a Gyokeres like signing? Delap is still an U-21 international player right now. I am hearing these noises about Utd and Gyokeres, which bemuses me considering where they finished last season. If Utd get Gyokeres, I would feel sick considering we are relying on a young talent like Delap to immediately settle in and start scoring.

IE I am happy with Delap and simply want an improvement on Jackson.

June 9, 20251 yr He is a fighter i like that, probably won't see him on the floor a lot. Now Jackson knows he can be dropped and should be his absolutely best or be on the bench.

Crespo was neither.Crespo was a dream striker for Mourinho to play alongside Drogba, but neither the squad nor Mourinho were enamoured with a 2-striker system. A healthy and focused Crespo would have been much better than Shevchenko was in 2006-07.As an aside I looked up some numbers for that season and while Drogba only hit 12 league goals, he got 14 assists. Hopefully Delap brings a similar team benefit.
