Buy clause to become mandatory under certain conditions”

FFS, they will do everything in their power to avoid that no doubt.

and just like that, the positivity around this evaporates…

Oh, we can have some fun here. What do you think those conditions might be?

  1. He has to stop looking like Lurch from The Addams Family.

Still not convinced tbh.

No reason why we won’t see another Harvey Elliot, and with the argument made for ‘Villa not wanting to harm the Chelsea relationship’, well, they can just say Emery went against them, and kiss up to our owners about the manager going rogue and not playing him enough for the clause. They can say the player had attitude problems, they can fine him, fake an injury, list goes on really.

Same, mainly because I just can't believe Villa would go through with this. I can't believe a club in their position would see Garnacho as an upgrade, I just don't buy it. Nothing will convince me that this isn't related to the Rogers deal, and I feel like Villa will do everything to get out of making this deal permanent by the end of the season.

This deal is related to Rogers deal. We have done similar deal with villa (Kellyman n Maatsen)

As mentioned before, different circumstances. Not a Harvey Elliott loan like this one. Unless you’re referring to the general ‘relationship’ we have with Villa, but again.. there are multiple excuses they could give, misunderstandings, ‘blame Emery’ etc, kiss and make up with Eghbali and all is forgiven.

They have Hull 3 games in, if he starts that and plays well, then there’s a shot he could dupe them long enough to get it over the line. If he starts against Hull and absolutely flops, then it’s a wait until the early round cup games.

Roger real number is not 115 but villa need that number. This is all ffp/psr stuff. We did similar stuff with Kellyman <> Maataer

Harvey Elliot was genuinely a last-second deal on deadline day.

It's July, and by all accounts, Garnacho is Emery's preferred target (lmao).

I am.just hoping the 'easy to achieve conditions' are based on

  1. Number of times subbed on or off

  2. Haircuts

Id prefer it was

  1. touch your toes

  2. Whats your name?

I`m still not sure the useless sod gets part 2 right.

Yea, I get the nuances of it, still… won’t be celebrating until the end of the season.

Romano claimed Emery had said he can revive his career, after Garnacho was thinking of leaving the Prem. Just need one of those fluke wonder goals he’s capable of, that’ll buy him some time.

Now hearing that the Garnacho condition is appearance based. That's dangerous. As @markpitts said recently, look at how they fcked about with Harvey Elliott

Was told that it’s most likely to be a wider club matter rather than a specific target re the number of performances.

By that it was suggested it could be conditional on Villa avoiding relegation

When Villa realise he's sh*t, they're going to get cold feet and do whatever they can to get out of the "obligation to buy". We can only hope that the terms of the deal are watertight. The speculation is that it's based on him making a certain umber of appearances, which, if true, concerns me because Villa have a history of being crafty with such deals. Hopefully we've learnt a lesson from the Nico Jackson/Bayern Munich experience last year.
