Fulham favourites to sign him this month apparently. 

Big surprise if we release him and Fabregas in the same month. Would expect we’ve got a couple of transfers lined up if we’re letting those two go.

He has been liking a few posts on twitter today regarding moving on. It’s a big thanks from me for his contribution towards some of the trophies over the last few years.

 

For a guy who apparently wasn't Chelsea quality when he signed he's won everything and played a big role too. It'll be a shame to see him leave. Still a much better defender than Luiz now.

It’d be a bit of a shame if Cahill doesn’t get the chance to ‘say goodbye’ ala Cesc. Great servant, him and JT together took some beating back in the day.  

Also it turned out he was the missing piece of the puzzle to bring the Champions League to London. 

Knew his limitations and never pretended he was Maldini, Moore or Beckenbaur. Did the basics brilliantly and gave his all every time  he played. His love for our shirt is without question and he is one of the bravest defenders I have ever seen. Would throw himself in front of a train to stop a shot.

He deserves it. He should be viewed as a legend cause he won the lot and really was a top defender.

Agree with all of the above but over the last couple of seasons he began to lose the little bit of pace he had and was easily beaten on the turn; great servant considering how much we paid for him; was a little bit lost without JT but we got our money's worth back 10 fold; however time to move on. Best of luck wherever he goes.

You cant really ask for more can you........bought for 7M, won everything with us and quality all around. His reputation will always remain intact with us......best of luck to him.

Tbh he should have never have been an undisputed starter and i think was signed initially to fill out the squad as a squad player.

However that wasn't his fault and he did his job to the best of his ability.

Sorry can't let that stand. That's the same 'not Chelsea quality' stuff that people have been carrying on with since we bought him.

If I recall we faced the choice of purchasing him or Luiz in that January 2011 and bought the wrong player. Once we worked out Luiz was a terrible defender we bought him the next year and he has played regularly since under every manager including in every major final we played in during his time bar one for which he was injured.

Okay maybe i worded it a bit wrongly.

The gist of what i'm trying to say is a lot better than Ben Haim, Boulahrouz and the like but at the same time not quite Terry, Ash, Ivan, Carvalho and Gallas.

I love Cahill.

 

He was never a flashy or fancy defender, he’s never claimed or tried to be. We paid 7 million for him. 7 MILLION!!!!!! that has to be the best value for money signing the club has ever made. He’s won the lot with us and been the consummate professional throughout even when he’s found himself on the sideline. 

 

You can’t praise his professionalism too much. I admit I never expected him to win everything there is to win with us when he signed but he has my total respect and I wish him nothing but the best when he leaves the club. He’s still got enough left in the tank to offer a lot of clubs! 

Top bloke. Bit too fond of letting people get past him and then putting in sliding tackles to recover, but a genuinely loyal and hardworking servant of the club. Wish him all the best.

Apparently was given a tour of Fulham's training ground yesterday along with Drinkwater and Moses with all three possibly making moves there this month.

Very possibly. Cahill was a very tidy finisher for a centre-half.

Not sure how anyone can hate the guy...Was he as good as jt? No, but who is? Won everything there is to win, How anyone can doubt him says more about them than Cahill.
