Yeah we scored a couple, Willian scored one as well from a short corner - cant remember who against. 

Only 3% of corners in the PL result in goals. If you only ever crossed them in then you wouldnt score many.

I think he will struggle to find a place in the starting 11 if Sarri is to be appointed since Sarri prefers ball playing CBs with a technical aptitude.

Good point made here and something i have often said when watching the muppet commentators on Sky, when they show the corner count. What does it actually mean? It would at least mean something if they then detailed how many actually resulted in an attempt on target, like they do with shots. No point us having 15 corners in a game if we can't ever beat the first man.

One final year, I reckon. 

If Sarri comes in, I'd say he's more likely to want to keep Luiz, as he's better with the ball at his feet.

If we want to get back with the big boys neither Luiz or Cahill should be anywhere the starting line-up.

I'd say Luiz and Cahill would be backup's to AC and Rudi, assuming we sign no one. If we sign Koulibaly, Luiz will probably go.

Really good header too. 

The Standard are reporting that Cahill is said to be considering his future at Chelsea if, as expected, we complete the signing of Rugani from Juventus. 

He's been a great servant, but we will have to let at least one centre back go to make space for Rugani. 

It's a toss up between cahill and Luiz.

Cahill brings maturity, and leadership to the squad, but he will struggle to play out from the back under sarri, and I think he would be a liability. 

Luiz is a big character in the dressing room, good for team morale. He will be comfortable with sarri's tactics, however he has always looked dodgy defensively in a back 4, and injuries might be catching up with him. 

Personally i would be inclined to keep Luiz, simply because if his ability on the ball. 

I think that Luiz has a better shot of sticking around just because of the system. His ability to play balls out is fantastic. Both are prone to making mistakes when they are on the ball a bit too long, Cahill has a lot more come to mind though. It’s be tough to loose either one though. 

Has been a great player for us, but he's past his best.  We need to inject some fresher legs into our defence so if he does go it's a sensible move for everyone involved.

It will hurt our English quota if Cahill leaves. There’s rumours that Moses and Fabregas also won’t fit the system. RLC could also go out on loan.

Cahill played one game, how was that fantastic?

The sooner hes gone the better, hes nowhere near good enough to play for Chelsea week in week out, a decent servant to the club but nostalgia counts for nothing in this game.

if he stays, fair enough, can still do a job for us but I think it will be as backup.

No teams in the top 6 would get him as a starter. If he's serious about leaving, he's looking at Everton, Burnley etc to finish off his career. Not too bothered either way, would mean we have to find an English player from somewhere, which will cost 25-30M for a half decent one.

He was fantastic for us, kept his head down and worked hard. If/when he goes, I hope he gets some farewell moment, it is well deserved.

Hope he gets some decent playing time elsewhere.

Is it really so difficult to show a bit of respect for a player that has done fantastically well for us, especially given he came on a relatively small fee as a back up and has gone on to play parts in winning every trophy available?
