In my opinion Kessie, Cyprien, Goetza, Dier and Tolliso, fall into the potential to be better than Matic but currently not quite as good, Although I don't see Dier ever reaching the level of Matic this season let alone the Matic of 2 years ago.

N'zonzi isn't near Matic's level and never will be.

Keita and Fabinho have both had excellent years and are a lot more complete than Matic, whilst very expensive would be obtainable, I think RB Leipzig have quote £70m for Keita. However, I do think Matic will suit Jose and Man U current midfield better. 

I think Man U are more in need of someone great defensively to sit behind Pogba and Herrara and thats why Jose is after Matic.

I therefore also would throw Idrissa Gueye into the ring but will Everton play ball unlikely.

For me Jose picking up Matic and say Renato Sanchez for midfield would massively improve their squad and I would much rather they picked up someone like Dier or N'Zonzi instead.

Either way there isn't that many options and Matic would improve them and make them a lot more challenging in the League.

Yea I can agree with the fact he wants someone to sit back to free up pogba going forward, what's crazy to me is the only club I see being linked to keita is Liverpool....he has had an amazing season

What the f**k? Haven't been on in a while and it's infighting all over the shop.

 

I don't see why people constantly bring up this new age fan/plastics pish, as if your age makes you in some way superior to others is ridiculous.

Even for our fans who have came around since the money or since the 00's, who cares? If they love Chelsea they're just as much a fan of this club as you or I. This superiority complex some people seem to have is embarrassing.

 

You can also quite easily show appreciation for a player for his service to the club (i.e. Matic) and still be able to see that we can do better. He's been poor for longer than just last season, people are kidding themselves on if they think that's been it. 

Our players, managers & fans talk about wanting to be or being one of the best teams in the world and then when people comment about how to improve or what players could be upgraded, everyone throws their toys out the pram.

 

For example, I appreciate Matic service to the club and for the contribution to our title wins but I'm sorry, in my opinion he's just not a very good footballer and if we can get £40m for him it's a steal. 

 

The summer break sends The Shed in to meltdown.

And there is no problem at all with posting it like that, it's how it should be. Unfortunately we now have fans who decide if a player isn't good enough they are deserving of abuse and vitriol, and sod appreciation and respect. I don't think Ake is as good as many believe he is, and I think it's great business getting that much for a player who in my opinion is 5th or 6th choice for us at best. But I don't think he's a prick or sh*t or a donkey or any of that other rubbish being posted about our current and past players.

Matic won't be going anywhere until we complete the Bakayoko deal. 

Jose can just f**king lump it.

Lukaku deal might muddy the waters, Jose apparently setting his sights on Weigl now.

So with Lukaku now at man utd, we will almost certainly not sell Matic to utd. So now we will struggle to get rid of him. In which case, is the Bakayoko deal in trouble?

I want us to keep him here. Matic isn't the same player he used to be, but he's worth having around for squad depth.

we need an upgrade on Alonso and moses

Cahill not good enough

hazard, Pedro and Willian don't get enough goals

we hit 90 plus points last season, we broke a record for the most wins, second best attack and defence (and in attack spuds only overtook us when there was nothing on the line), 

Oh and TBO won golden gloves

we achieved all of this with 3 of the 5 back 5 being meh, and most not wanting Luiz back. And a bang average center mid in matic
