November 22, 201411 yr To be fair shearer and savage gave us kudos in the small slot allotted, then the blonde girl laughably said Yacob shouldn't have been sent off
November 23, 201411 yr That never stopped them from w**king all over Utd, arse, liverscum in the past...watching motd this season with their cynical chelsea post match analysis of arsenal game or Fabregas is weakest link a few weeks ago, you could be forgiven for thinking we are not top of the league playing best footy of any team by far Be fair... if memory serves what they (I think Mark Lawrenson?) said was that if the Chels has any weakness it is Fabregas' capacity in a defensive role (they have a valid argument imo, he's been exposed a few times this season). They didn't implicitly refer to Fabregas as THE weakest link. Edited November 23, 201411 yr by the special one
November 23, 201411 yr The point I was making is rather than talk about something positive and the football we played that night, they focussed on Fabregas being our weakest link defensively...it was bizarre...oh well, going to put sky's highlights on instead...top of the league, having a laugh Edited November 23, 201411 yr by The Brit
November 23, 201411 yr He's got murder in his eyes. emopty.png Is that your mate go buy him a couple pints...no instead break out some Scotch...dude is so depressed
November 23, 201411 yr Itv are supposedly bidding for the next round of rights to show highlights...the prospect fills me with dread, but given the beebs rapidly deteriorating coverage, it wouldn't be much worse I don't think i could watch Premier League HL's on ITV again, it was terrible last time around and with ITV being such a mess with their football coverage it can only be worse if they get it again. I do agree with you about what is being said when we are getting analysed though, so often they talk more about the negatives than the positives. Every team has a defensive weakness, so why is ours the one getting so much attention ? We do get praised, but we always get a few negatives at the same time. Can we not get praised without the negatives for once ?
November 23, 201411 yr http://www.redcafe.net/threads/jack-scrappy-doo-wilshere.366682/page-18 Jack "Scrappy Doo" Wilshere.... Ha ha... Jammydodger7 said: ? I think he's just after passing John Terry out on my hate-o-meter. He'll meet his match someday He meets his match most weeks. Frail little sh*t. "The most massively overrated and over-hyped player in the league. If he wasnt English he'd rarely be mentioned or noticed. I've constantly been hearing for years from "experts" and pundits that he's top class or will be top class at some point. Seriously, what is he so good at that people say these things? He'll have a nice, fancy dribble past a player or two here and there. He never scores and very rarely assists. He isn't productive enough statistically to be a top AM, he isn't big or strong enough to be a DM, and he's average as a creative CM. He's petulant and a serial diver. Don't get the fuss. Bang average like everyone else in that Arsenal side except for Sanchez."
November 23, 201411 yr If arse played the way we did first half, we'd be put on first and the pundits would w**k all over it in post match...motd's negative reaction to our impressive season continues Meh, haters are gonna hate. I think we'll get the last laugh in the event we win the league.
November 23, 201411 yr Weirdly, Arsenal's loss to us was one of their better performances so far this season!
November 23, 201411 yr I love Arsenal Fan TV! So much priceless content and Claude makes me laugh every time. I showed it to the missus who hates Arsenal with the passion and she couldn't stop laughing with their carry on! They're a club with no direction at the present time until Wenger is gone. He's been a good manager for them especially from 1996-2005, but since then they've done nothing and only been making up the numbers in the Champions League. Very surprised that Manchester United won but in the end it's a good victory for them and somehow they're in the top 4. I think Chelsea and Newcastle are the in form sides of the competition at the moment. If Southampton wins on Monday then I'll include them as well. Edited November 23, 201411 yr by Jezz
November 23, 201411 yr Newcastle join Southampton as this season's surprise package. Great to see things being shaken up a bit. Wouldn't be surprised if liverpool and Spurs both lose today.
November 23, 201411 yr Other than City it doesn't look like anyone fancies top 4. Look at Arsenal, they're only won one PL game a per month so far, very lucky against palace, Villa had food poisoning, leaving Sunderland and Burnley.
November 23, 201411 yr The indifferent form of those around us can surely only help our season. I think City are likely to go on a run of form soon and we'll be looking over our shoulders at them over the Christmas period. Without the distraction of Europe in December I think they will do well and so hopefully we will keep grinding out the wins into the New Year. If we are top at the end of New Years day I think I will feel very confident about our chances of winning the title.
November 23, 201411 yr Wouldn't be surprised if liverpool and Spurs both lose today. This is where we are: apart from Europe, I look at fixtures and think: 'Hull away, could be tricky. Then Everton at home, might be difficult. Then some outfit called Chelsea. Away too. Sounds problematic' The way we are playing, no results are given.

Can we not get praised without the negatives for once ? In fairness to MOTD, I think that show they had praised us then said "Do they actually have a weak link, at all?" and they picked up on Fabregas defensively. It wasn't like they went out of their way to point it out. I do agree thought that our goals are often glossed over for controversial moments, like against Palace.
November 23, 201411 yr Imagine the top four at the end of the season looks like this: Chelsea Utd City Newcastle/Southampton Meltdowns would ensue!
November 23, 201411 yr In no particular order, I think it will be: Chelsea City Man Utd Arsenal Yes, I think it will end up just as boring as usual.
November 23, 201411 yr In no particular order, I think it will be: Chelsea City Man Utd Arsenal Yes, I think it will end up just as boring as usual. That was my prediction at the start of the season too. I stand by it, although I think Southampton stand a decent shot. They can afford to lose games against big teams if they keep beating the little ones. Performances could definitely tail off towards the end of the season, though.
November 23, 201411 yr In no particular order, I think it will be: Chelsea City Man Utd Arsenal Yes, I think it will end up just as boring as usual. Yeah I agree in that, would love for Arsenal to miss out though
November 23, 201411 yr Chelsea City Man United Southampton If Southampton win tomorrow, they will be 11 points above Arsenal. I don't think they can repair that. Edited November 23, 201411 yr by JoeyN
November 23, 201411 yr Jesus the commentator was excited when Lambert scored there hard to get excited over a mid-table club playing a team in the bottom three....yawn....
