Balotelli, typical merc. Straight down the tunnel, you'd think they'd lost the match. Terrible attitude.

I have never seen a player who shows such a lack of passion and enthusiasm for the game.

"I don't celebrate when I score, because it's my job"

"Does a postman celebrate when he delivers a letter?"

"At least a postman delivers letters more than once a month"

One of my favorite football related quotes to be honest.

I have to say Liverpool have become a difficult team to beat over the last couple of months. So much sweeter when we tonk them at the Bridge :-)

Damn it. QPR finally ended their losing streak of away games.

I know, I think Liverpool's record from 1953/54 still stands as the worst run of away defeats. Great history that club.

I didn't mind Rodgers when he first went to Liverpool but now I think he is a smarmy little twat that is so smug and is delusional thinking he is a world class manager...f**k I just hate everything there is about Liverpool and so wanted Spuds to win and keep Liverpool quiet while stepping above Utd.  Would like to see Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal outside the top 4, that would make my season.

I just think players and managers take too many liberties that they likely wouldn't take outside of football, on the street because they know nothing much will happen to them. "beating a man half to death" is a bit of an exaggeration, but i wouldn't just let a player or manager apply force to my throat, headbutt me or bite me etc without retaliating in much more forceful way. When i see the way some players get physical with other players, i'm surprised at how many are so calm and composed about the situation.

If anyone here was a player and they were headbutted or deliberately elbowed by a player, they wouldn't boil over and retaliate? Maybe i'm just too hot headed, but i couldn't stand there while some player tries to cause physical harm to me. You know what really rubbed me up the wrong way is when rio ferdinand ran past torres that time when he was on the floor and deliberately kneed him. I felt sorry for torres because he was so low on confidence and you could see it by his reaction, but it also angered me that ferdinand did that, and it was deliberate. If i was torres i wouldn't have been able to let it go unfortunately. Henderson is another player who really irks me too.

I am not a confrontational person, but when pushed and poked, one's patience starts to wear thin.

Come on, a bite is hardly going to cause harm. I would just be too astonished if someone bit me to do anything :) an elbow to the face or a two footed tackle on the other hand... But retaliation is probably not the best way to stop violence I guess. A less inept governing body might do the job.

Aston Villa have scored 12 Premiership goals all season.

A record low in the Premiership era after 25 games.

Also, why do they persist with a keeper who clearly isn't Premiership standard?

Talk about an over reaction, what's the hell was that, LVG? I would be worried if a Chelsea manager wasting time on things like that.

Look forward to hear BR calling Mario the best striker in the world.

Fat Sam is coming out with some absolutely brilliant stuff at the moment:

"I don't think there is any coach more sophisticated than me any more. That's not trying to criticise any other coaches, but there is only Arsene Wenger who has done it longer than me. I'm just as good as everybody at this stage.

They may well have gained more experience by managing abroad, like Louis van Gaal, Ronald Koeman and people like that, but in this country, with the experience they've got I don't think there is any coach that would be in that position [of being more sophisticated than me].

That comes from the amount of time you do in the job, how much experience you gain in the job and how much knowledge you strive for on a regular basis to keep the cutting edge.

The cutting edge is what's new in football, what's the next level, where is it going to be, how can you find it, how can you implement it into your club?

I've always been that way inclined. I've never stood still and it's probably why I am still here managing in the Premier League for the last 13-14 years."

Spurs played well but Liverpool just had that extra bit of quality to get them over the line but I still hate them! The way Brendan Rodgers celebrates still infuriates me. I'm sure he'll say they have their 'identity' back!

LVG is showing signs of someone who's insecure! Most managers wouldn't have cared about what big Sam said.

On Villa, I think Lambert is nearing the sack, would be good riddance to him in my opinion.

On Top Four, it's madness no one seems to be able to get a grip in Third or Fourth, personally I think Arsenal and United will ultimately do it but you never know. Liverpool have a tough run in from here on out.
